Nathan refused to leave the cellar. Though the door was wide open, he sought out comfort in the darkness. There was three full blood bogs all waiting for him but he couldn’t bring himself to drink it. Not just yet. He spent the past two days letting in the guilt sink in for each and every one of the horrible things he had done set it. Saving the last for Natalia.
All his life, Nathaniel Salvatore was the one nobody thought would ever settle down. One would think that someone who gets that much action would be a jerk but he wasn’t. For the most part he was down to earth, and very respectful to women.
And to think that one girl managed to turn his life upside down was crazy. He was head over heals for this girl. Even though she was a wolf that game from a long line of powerful wolves, he saw past that. He loved her-mind, body, and soul. Yet he managed to make her believe otherwise. He literally tormented her, made her feel like shit, used her own friend against her in multiple ways of the word.
Not to mention the tape he recorded against her knowledge, and had the nerve to use it against her. He was a true bastard who didn’t deserve her or her forgiveness.
There was a single tear that fell from his eye. The last one possible considering he was all dried up. He looked back at the blood bags but still didn’t want them. He could still dessicate. At this rate he had maybe two days left. He leaned his head back against the wall, thinking silently about Natalia. She was getting married. She would be someone else’s. Someone else would get to kiss her, someone else would hold her, someone else would touch her. The thought made him even more sick than the lack of blood in his lungs.
He couldn’t take it anymore, he had to try. He had to apologize. He didn’t expect her forgiveness, but he just wanted her to know that everything he said to her with no emotions was a lie. he couldn’t go on with her thinking she meant nothing to him when in reality she meant everything to him.
He needed to find her, and fast. After getting himself another phone he contacted Jessi in order to get Natalia’s whereabouts. Shit. Jessi. Another person he owed an apology to.
He stood in front of the bridal shop. He needed to push through and go in but it took him a while. Once he stepped in, there were multiple women trying on their dresses. They were all beautiful, but non of them even compared to the one brunette all the way at the end. Slowly he walked closer to where she was but stood well behind her, leaning against the wall. “You look beautiful...” He whispered.
