in a surprise turn of events absolutely no one saw coming ( unless you read the plot page in full at literally any point in time ) the devastatingly gorgeous kai parker finally manages to resurrect the one, the only, the original witch herself. this would be a huge win for our hero and his chaotic girlfriend if it weren't for the fact that esther decides she cannot stand his heretic sex appeal within the first ten minutes of meeting him. it's a clash, then, of magical power, one kai only manages to survive in thanks to sadie's dark magical tutelage obviously withstands — but at a cost.
because while kai manages to escape with only a few scrapes to show for it, something's changed. he feels it in his slower healing, in his bizarre new connection to nature ... and most especially in his heart-stopping new ability to cast spells without the crutch of siphoning. and the best part ? all of you have something freaky going on now, too. humans are growing fangs, vampires are craving twinkies more than blood, and everyone's suddenly hanging out with way more werewolves than this town's seen in months.
