it was normal for kendall to live out his life at a rather fast pace. it was all an attempt to keep up with how the world was constantly changing around him, even in a town like this. he was able to remotely conduct business with the help of his trusty laptop. he had popped out of his home office for a few moments before he realized there was one missed call on his phone. it was one of his company’s shareholders. a call that he definitely shouldn’t have missed. a sigh of frustration passed the man’s lips as he ran his fingers through his hair, debating rushing home or returning the call presently to see what was needed of him. he was staring at the screen of his phone with a borderline blank expression upon his face. his thumb hovered over the call button before he felt a body suddenly collide into him, blinking in surprise. his gaze flickered upward to take notice of the man who had unexpectedly bumped into him. “oh shit, sorry man.” even though it wasn’t exactly his fault, he was used to apologizing for mistakes that weren’t his own. besides, he hadn’t exactly been paying attention to begin with.
