Max let out the biggest sigh of relief when he knew it was her and he remembered, Wrapping her arms around him , holy shit it felt good to know he was here now “Steve!” she said happily. “I am so happy to see you, you have no idea  I thought I was alone here.. but Mike and El are here” she said giving him a reassuring smile “When did you get here? I’ve been here for a few months, I don’t know this town is weird, my first thought when I got here was the upside down” ” she added 

The hug between them was very much needed but Steve still allowed himself to pull back a little back to scan over Max’s face, “I’m happy to see you too! This is all so crazy, I mean look at you. You’re all grown up.” It made him feel like he was having a proud dad moment. “I’m glad that you haven’t been alone here. I was worried about the same thing. How are El and Mike?” He was secretly thankful that they didn’t have to deal with anyone from home who would cause them problems but he also was worried about their other friends. “I actually just got here a couple weeks ago. This place is fucking weird… there’s a bunch of stuff I don’t understand at all. Like… iPhones. These things are confusing as hell.” He pulled the cellphone he had gotten since he came here out, holding it up for emphasis. “This place might be worse than the upside down because we have no clue how to deal with it or get back home.”

Elle looked to her arm shrugging “ I’m not really sure , I think so. Some on my legs could be from dancing , i’m a ballerina, but I hardly ever fall enough to make my arms look this way” she admitted  looking back to him “I need to go get some of that, how would Coffee make me feel better though?” she asked 

Five blinked a few times in surprise as he examined the other’s bruises, “Are you sure someone didn’t cause them…?” He realized how intrusive his question must have been and he quickly shook his head. “I think I have some ibuprofen in my backpack.” He shrugged it off and began to rummage through it. “But as for the coffee… coffee makes everything feel better. Plus, caffeine is a natural pain reliever.”

Wednesday had to admit that it brought her pleasure to know that the man was impressed with her.  He hadn’t told her, but his expression made it clear.  “Would you like to try?”  She asked, holding out her bow.  Sure, giving a bow to someone with no experience was dangerous, but that was exactly why she wanted to do it.  “Of course I can.  It wasn’t good or bad, just different.  Like the universe didn’t care whether you were here or not, it just wanted to give me a warning.”

Ander was a bit surprised when the girl offered the bow out to him, a bit hesitant about the opportunity that was extended. Though he couldn’t help himself but take a step toward her. “Really? Do you think you could show me like a proper form? Or at least let me know if I look like an idiot?” He chuckled as he took the bow into hand. “That’s probably a useful skill to have considering if it were anyone else, they would have most likely accidentally shot me or something.” He teased. He held the bow up as properly as he could, copying the technique he had seen in movies. “I feel kind of badass right now… like Robin Hood. Do I look cool?”

Morgan was this close to punching someone in the face, and by someone, she meant the three guys who wouldn’t get the hint and leave her alone.  Any attempt at getting them to leave was met with catcalling, and it only seemed to encourage them to keep going.  She was about to just give up and walk away, but she had a sinking feeling that they would just follow her wherever she went.  Suddenly, the feeling of an arm around her made her eyes widen, assuming it was another one of them, but the guy’s words calmed her down a little.  Not that she would admit that she appreciated a man stepping in to save the day.  “Thanks.”  She muttered after the guys left and the arm fell from her shoulders.

Nate took a step back, not wanting to crowd the other after having to step in and scare off his teammates. “It’s no problem. I figured that you could handle yourself on your own, but I still wanted to intervene because I knew it’d make them leave sooner.” He knew how these guys thought, especially considering how persistent they were. Even when girls were clearly uninterested. “I’m still sorry about them. Can I like make it up to you in any way?” He tilted his head to the side. “Maybe like a coffee or something?” It hardly made up for assholes who liked catcalling girls but it was at least worth a try.

Cat’s eyes went wide as she got an idea.  “Oh, sorry!  Here, let me warn you!”  She ran back over to the window, climbing back out halfway before turning around to face the man again.  “It’s Cat, I’m coming in!”  She called out, letting out a giggle as she climbed back in.  “Taa-daa!”  She giggled again, swinging her arms back and forth as she stood.  “Yeah, I did!  I used to lift weights as a child, my brother said I needed to keep my strength up in case the martians attacked.  So I have really good upper body strength!”

Steve tried his best to keep himself from laughing at how literally the other took him, but appreciated the gesture nonetheless. “Thanks for that warning.” It was hard to hide his surprise at her statement about weight-lifting though, easily impressed considering he wasn’t exactly the strongest. “In case martians attack, huh? That’s actually probably useful. If they do end up coming to earth then I know to run to team up with you.” He joked. “It’s actually a good thing you decided to drop in even though you almost gave me a heart attack. It’s pretty cold outside. Do you want some hot cocoa or something?”

“ you were watching me . ” one of her delicately lined eyebrows lifted questioningly , teasing smile ghosting on her pink lips . she didn’t mind , quite the opposite actually , but that didn’t mean she couldn’t pretend for the fun of it . what else was there left to do in this town after all . “ well — are you going to say something ? or at least invite me out for a drink ? ”

nate’s gaze was immediately drawn into the other , unable to look away . she was undoubtedly one of the most gorgeous girls that he had ever laid eyes on . but he also hadn’t expected for his shameless gawking to be noticed . a small scoff fell from his lips , “ you can’t blame me. you’re beautiful. plus, i think you like being watched .” he teased . “ what do you say ? let’s go out and do something. get a drink or whatever you want . ”

Stitch was studying in the common area of school. He sighed and looked up. “Being a veterinarian is totally going to be worth all this studying. I can’t wait to see patients and help them.”

A smile graced Ander’s lips as he approached the other the moment he heard the voiced musing, “You stuck in a studying rut?” He cocked his head to the side. “Finals are kicking my ass too.” He held onto the straps of his backpack as he leaned over the other slightly. “You want to take a break with me for a while? I was gonna go get some frozen yogurt.”

“ Of Course I end up in a place that I don’t know and my spell book doesn’t have any spell that works on getting me the hell out of here.” Mal sighed , she tried everything she could to somehow fix this and take her back “home” to the isle where things weren’t so clean and cheery.

Elsa perked up the moment she heard the word ‘ spell book ’, her interest obviously piqued. “A spellbook? I don’t mean to be nosy and I know it’s probably none of my business but does that mean you have some sort of powers?” She wet her lips. “Do you think magic has something to do with all of this?” That seemed like the only plausible explanation at this point but she still wasn’t accustomed to dealing with magic that wasn’t her own -- or at least not that she could remember.

“ fine , you caught me red-handed . ” she raised her arms up in a fake surrender , taking in a deep , exaggerated breath . her voice was steady and dauntless , unaffected by the heart palpitations and racing thoughts . dauntless as she was , she was only a human . a human who would like to avoid prison . “ but if i’m trespassing then so are you , so don’t get your panties in a twist . ” 

maybe five was naive to think that he wouldn’t be caught or run into anyone in his desperate search for answers . so of course , it was in his nature to deflect straightaway . his nose skewed up slightly the moment this all was turned back around on him , “ i’m not going to snitch on you if that’s what you’re afraid of . i’m just stating the obvious here . ” his teeth sunk into his bottom lip . “ what are you doing here anyway … ? are you looking for something in particular ? ”

roman couldn’t help but laugh. it wouldn’t be the first time kendall pretended he didn’t know him – though that habit was thought to be left in the past next to their ugly high school phases. “i don’t know what kind of coping technique you’re using to deal with everything, but all the power to you. you can’t tell me you don’t think dad has kidnapped and done some crazy shit to people before, though,” he said, amused. he shrugged off the small amount of hurt that came from his brother’s words. he wasn’t going to let it get to him when he had so much to deal with already with the new surroundings and new people. hell, he didn’t even know where his other siblings were just yet. “yeah, yeah – slow-paced and cute. but, i’m only one of those things and that’s cute. i’m not planning on staying here. are you? like, why would you of all people want to stay here? you can barely enjoy vacation in the bahamas for a week without thinking about work and taking calls,” he questioned. there was definitely something off about the other and it was concerning roman.

as quick as kendall was when it came to thinking on his feet, he didn’t exactly know how to process how the other was acting. this couldn’t have been some sort of case of mistaken identity when the conversation was dragging on for this long. but, he was fairly positive that he didn’t know the other or share any relation to him. the way this man spoke as if he KNEW him made his stomach churn, leaving him with an odd feeling. he remained silent for a few moments before rubbing at his temples, a nervous habit. “this is my home. i’m not sure what other reason i should have for staying?” he took in a deep breath. “i got fed up with living in the fast lane for so long. i mean, i only have my business to worry about but i can do that anywhere. that’s one of the many benefits of being in charge.” he pursed his lips as he thought over his next words carefully. “listen man, you seem like a really cool guy. but, i also don’t want to kid you here. i seriously don’t know who the fuck you are. no bullshit.” he tried his best to sound as earnest as possible. “i’m sorry.” it seemed like the only thing he could say at this point.

Lawrence ‘Betelgeuse’ took great pride in his appearance. Yes, his fashion choices were a little extravagant at times (the dark green leather jacket and black and white striped shirt underneath he was wearing today, for example) but they were choices, and choices he’d made. His real pride and joy, however, was his hair. Right now it was black and frosted silver and purple, and it was cool. At least, Lawrence thought it was. In fact, he’d proclaimed it the coolest hair in Browning, at which someone had thrown out another name: Steve Harrington. 

Determined to have no competition, Lawrence set out to find this ‘Steve’ and see if his hair was really worth all the buzz. Seeing a man who fit the description walking out of the city hall, Lawrence called him over, “Hey fair hair! Come ‘ere! Let me get a look at your mop!” 

Steve was a bit caught off guard when he heard someone call out to him, unsure at first if he was the person the man was addressing. But a second glance thrown over his shoulder confirmed that it was indeed directed at him. While the man’s appearance would have definitely gained him some strange looks back in Hawkins, Steve had to admit that he thought he looked pretty cool. Different wasn’t something that was normally accepted where he was from. A smile easily formed on his lips as he approached the other.

“You want to get a good look at Steve ‘the hair’ Harrington?” He teased, scrunching his nose up. “I’ll warn you, it’s not as soft as it looks.” It was strange, no matter how much product he seemed to use it still appeared soft despite its actual texture. “Your hair is pretty cool too, man. I wish I had the balls to dye my hair.”

“All I’m saying is you’re sick you need to stay the fuck inside your house , it’s about that time of year where the germs are everywhere and it’s absolutely gross “Eddie said shaking his head , he hated winter time, he hated sick season he kept hand sanitizer and and all types of medicine on him at all times. “Here” eddie said holding the sanitizer out for the person infront of him “keep your hands clean before touching anything “ he said   putting some on his hands and rubbing together 

Staying up far too late for his own good had only left Steve with a weakened immune system and no answers about this weird town that he found himself trapped in. Before he knew it, he had somehow caught a cold. Being sick turned him essentially into a big baby who complained constantly, sniffling softly as he listened to the male speak. He reluctantly obliged when the hand sanitizer was offered out to him, rubbing it onto his hands. “How can I stay inside when I have to go to class? I just have to get through this week and then I can go into hibernation.” Just as he finished speaking he sneezed, making sure to do it into the crook of his arm.

❄ How do I know you’re not going to kill me?

Flash light in hand the small brunette needed to investigate the strange noise. It was moments like this that made her miss Dipper. Her twin would be a nervous wreck, all flaily and sweaty, it would have been hilarious and she would have loved it. But she needed to keep up the investigations until Dipper got back. As she moved around quietly she heard more noise. And turning to the noise she ran into a boy. Holding out her flash light like a weapon “how do I know you’re not going to kill me?”

Steve always had his guard up no matter what after what he had gone through back home. Did he think that he would run into any strange creatures here? Realistically, no. But, that didn’t ease up his paranoia. He was on his way back to his apartment when he heard a strange noise. Someone approaching him? He should have had a bat on him but that would have probably earned him a few strange looks. He was surprised the moment he saw a girl not far from him, eyes widening. Though his initial reaction was just a laugh. “Do I look like I could kill someone?” He paused, wetting his lips. “Actually… don’t answer that.” He nervously rubbed his arm. “But I could ask you the same thing, how do I know you aren’t going to kill me? Innocent looking girls could easily get away with murder.”

“I work at Infamous History, the museum over on West Street. The museum is hosting a sci-fi movie marathon next week, that’s why I’m wearing… this,” Max explained as politely as he could. The truth was, he hated wearing the shirt the museum director had printed. The design of ‘Mac and Me,’ clearly a rip off of the slightly better movie, ‘E.T.’ covered the entire front of the shirt Max had been given to wear that day for his shift. If the ridiculous looking alien on his shirt wasn’t enough to get people to avoid the event entirely, he’d be surprised.

Steve was trying his best to hold back the temptation to chuckle at the sheer sight of the other’s ghastly looking shirt. Here he thought he had everyone beat with the worst work uniform at Scoops Ahoy. “I mean… knowing that you’re wearing that for work and not for pleasure is a bit reassuring. What the hell is that anyway?” He gestured toward the alien on the other’s shirt. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen that movie. It looks like a knock off of E.T. and that movie practically gave me nightmares.” He paused, realizing he may have overshared. “But you didn’t hear that from me.”

roman hadn’t noticed how close he’d gotten to the other, but when he was addressed he couldn’t help but laugh. “oh, sorry. i forgot not everyone wanted to admire my ass. i’m sorry it isn’t good enough for you,” he teased. “is my face, at least, a better view?”

nate raised a shoulder in a half-hearted shrug as he averted his gaze away from the other, “i’m sure that middle-aged women enjoy the view.” his lips pursed into a thin line, almost as if to stop himself from uttering any other smart remarks. “i’m not sure if i’m the right person to be asking about that sort of thing.”

“So you’re telling me…  That there’s a legend about a fat man who delivers presents to all the children in the world…  using flying reindeer?”  Kristoff raised an eyebrow.  He’d seen some crazy things, after all his soon to be sister in law could summon snow with her hands, but flying reindeer was something he just couldn’t fathom.  “That has got to be the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.”

A soft giggle escaped Nancy as she lifted her shoulders in a shrug, “I mean… it’s not the most logical story but that’s not the point. Christmas is supposed to be magical, which is why people don’t question it too much.” She was accustomed to viewing everything from a rational stand-point but she knew when to make exceptions. “Although, now I’m curious. How have you never heard of Santa? Have you never celebrated Christmas before?” Maybe he just had other traditions or celebrated something different.

connor’s brows pinched together as he considered the statement. the last he saw, his appearance didn’t signify that he needed to sleep, but he was still someone who didn’t sleep much and was in desperate need of it. “am- am i?” he asked, obviously caught off guard by the other. “i know you’re quite talented, nancy, but i didn’t know you could also detect when someone needed sleep,” he lightly teased the young detective. “perhaps you’re lacking a case and are in need of exercising your skill on me?”

it wasn’t too strange for nancy to be drawn toward law enforcement even now. she found herself hanging around the police station out of habit. it was something that she did even back in river heights, especially since it was a great place to secretly listen in on new tips or leads. a small chuckle fell from nancy’s lips at connor’s reaction, trying her best to hide her amusement. “don’t worry, you don’t look disheveled or out of sorts. i just noticed a small error in your report there. a mistake probably caused by sleep deprivation.” she playfully scolded before tapping the folder on the man’s desk. “this town is enough of a mystery for me as it is but… you might be right. my body is always itching for something new.” she leaned up against the other’s desk. “do you want to take a break and get some coffee with me? or maybe some herbal tea?”
