To add to Apathy’s post, as I completely agree with what they said, if no one had asked Cora if she would be writing trans or non-binary bios, people wouldn’t even have overreacted the way they did. There are literally millions of roleplay where the characters are separated male and female, while the only non-binary or trans bios you see are OCs. I’m sure that yes, they may have been talked to about it, but no one personally attacked those RPs’ admins because they didn’t get a question that, in my opinion, Cora handled pretty well.
Yes, people need to learn through their mistakes and take risks. But no, you have no right to attack someone simply because they’re not in agreement with you. This is just like the people of Tumblr to attack each other left and right. If you want something done right, don’t attack people publicly, talk to them. Because guess what? Most people don’t respond well to attacks. I would have personally been fucking pissed if I had been in Cora’s place, because you’re basically bullying and pressuring someone to do something they can’t or are too nervous to do, but then you go ahead and get angry when the media bullies you into doing something. Like fuck you for saying you’re not the bullies, you are! Fuck you for thinking you’re always in the right, you’re not! There were a million different ways to handle what happened that didn’t include hurting someone, who had already stated that she suffered from anxiety. Even if she had tried to write those bios, if they had been written wrong, y’all would have done this shit again cause that’s what you fucking do. I wouldn’t even be surprised if those attackers were people from the RPH community, cause we all know how toxic that community is.
I’m not saying that she has a free pass into not writing those bios, but it’s also her roleplay, and you had no right to attack her like that.
