what?
I don’t believe it but it just like where the fuck tvtrope get this info from
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Franchise/DisneyChannelLiveActionUniverse?from=Franchise.DCLAU
... Should I... Should I be proud that my story is on the tvtropes website?
Not sure how I feel about that but man...
Trep just summed up Nolan's orientation with this.
how do you know that people like demo just because he's black? i never hear that demo is someone's favorite, tbh, even though he is my favorite
It's not that it comes out in the form of "I like him best because he's black" but rather in the way that fans of Demo fiercely protect him from any and all criticism to his character.
Medic is my favorite. But I have no problem admitting that he's a psychopath who honestly wouldn't appreciate a shred of the love he gets from his fans. Fans of Scout have no problem admitting he's annoying as hell. Fans of Spy aren't troubled to admit that he's a giant dork nugget. Fans of Soldier don't apologize for his stupidity.
But fans of Demoman treat him like he has no flaws. They try to justify his bad or reckless behavior and will use the race card if anyone genuinely criticizes him on anything, his drinking problem as an example. "You're picking on the only poc!"
There's also the daunting fact that a huge number of the people who love Demo are white. When hordes of white people start geeking out over the only poc - sometimes and usually while maintaining white guy Pyro headcanons - it gets a little sketchy. They treat him as the Token Black Guy. Like if they shelter him and protect him from character evaluation, if they can pretend that he's perfect, they don't need any more poc characters.
Another thing that tends to happen is they'll use him as an instant get out of jail free card. "What do you MEAN I said something problematic? I can't be racist, my favorite character is the black guy!"
I was once called garbage because by one of these Demo fans because I said that if you fashion an oc after the canon Demo (like the way people will make German Medic oc's and give them names and altered personalities and appearances, usually based on their loadouts in the game or their favorite cosmetics) but you turn him white, that is reprehensibly shitty and is whitewashing. But that if you make a completely original Demoman oc from Iceland or Belarus or Spain or what have you, it is not in fact white washing because Demoman is a class, not a single man. This person then proceeded to make a list of "acceptable" races for Demoman oc's, listing off ten or fifteen dark-skinned races, and maintaining that white Demoman oc's "belong in the trash."
sorry if this was asked before but i was wondering which class you liked best in tf2??? ur art is the stuff of gods btw
i dunno!!! i love them all equally
(i dont care for scout)
im not sure i get why claiming dogs are wolfdogs would hurt them??? are they considered dangerous if they are or????
Yes, they are considered "dangerous"! In many places wolfdogs are illegal, and if they are found they are euthanized.
They are also at risk of panicked neighbors shooting them because they think they're a wolfdog.
By claiming a dog that is not a wolfdog to be a wolfdog, you are contributing to the problem that virtually no one knows the difference between a wolfdog and a dog at a glance. Thus we have people mistaking purebred malamutes for actual wolves and shooting them.
This blog/tag explains a lot of why it's a reeeeally shitty idea to try to pass your dog off as a wolf or wolfdog.
something about my Hades...
One of my adorable readers found this by chance last night during Livestream chat, MYth webcomic on TVTropes.org
At first I didn’t know what TVTropes was… and thought it was some kind of reader’s review thing, but later I got the time to check the page out myself, and realized it’s very well written. Whoever did it, if you happen to read this, thank you very much! The analysis is highly accurate.
except...I just don't think my Hades can compare with the amazing character of Itachi...>__<
here is why:
I don’t know the detail about Itachi’s motive since I stopped following Naruto many years ago, but I know he's a good guy pretending to be bad(?) for the sake of his little brother...and...it sounds like the same deal with Hades and Zeus...Orz (which I honestly didn't even realize at the time of writing the story)
I think my Hades can't compare with Itachi because I don’t see Itachi as a coward.
Now that I look back to A Promise, there were places where I could have elaborated to make sure this flaw of Hades was shown to the readers instead of letting himself confess to Metis. So it was a failure on my part for not delivering the message clearly in the story....Orz (My sister said the ‘confession scene’ probably just made Hades fans pity him even more instead of thinking of it as his flaw)
Hades was controlled by Cronus, but Poseidon was not. Poseidon thought Cronus was wrong and disagreed by instinct, yet Hades didn’t even dare disobeying Cronus, and so easily he ended up being controlled. (so...yes, Poseidon has a stronger mind than Hades) Naturally, Hades later felt guilty. That’s why he felt especially ashamed when Poseidon greeted him in the 1st chapter of A Promise II. Poseidon, being the pacifier, certainly didn’t mind the choice Hades made and forgave him.
On the contrary, Itachi seems very intelligent, strong, and determined. As if he knew what he did was correct or maybe it was for a greater good? I don’t know… (maybe I should research Itachi to find out what really happened. @__@)
but my Hades...the first time he hurt someone (although against his will) was because he lacked the courage to do otherwise. So later he did things for penance, and has been that way ever since. That’s also why he put up with Zeus no matter what.
