i was just think about vriska and karkat randomly and how it makes a lot of sense that they'd grate on each other (obv karkat takes it more personally) bc they both have qualities the other one is insecure about and are jealous of like karkat w his bonds and compassion and vriska w her strength and ruthlessness.

Though I dont feel like Vriska is really ever annoyed by Karkat, and is way more indifferent to his antics, I definitely feel this ask alot, I’ve thought a lot about the fact Vriska and Karkat as very much the polar opposites of a spectrum re: Most to Least Troll. 

Vriska is the perfect byproduct of troll culture, exactly the sort of kid D*c Scratch was hoping to come out of his little horror show society (exactly why he calls her his protege and why shes the only troll to go Godtier in game) petty, stupid,ill equipped emotionally but, just like being the worst example of trollkind hurts Karkat’s development, Vriskas position of privilege is so detrimental to her (esp concerning the way D*c Scratch pushed her past the few boundaries she did have)

Esp when you consider post-game. Karkat will be in a position where all of his failure as a troll will allow a smooth transition into a society where he’ll reach his best potential but Vriska…..hm. It’s definitely interesting!
