Idk what this is but the vibes were there, okay?; you can’t blame me.

now that is ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s so fun when your government doesn’t give a flying hoot about the fires, floods and racial discrimination and abuse to indigenous people in your country but is instead wasting all its time on a “religious freedom law” that will allow businesses to fire someone for being gay. What a great time we live in :/
tw probably mentions of death and flooding proceed with caution ‼️
so i got some more info of what the fuck evem happened
we kind of didnt notice until my mom tried to open the door and she couldnt but our door does that all the time bc it warps when it rains so she pushed reeaalllyyy hard and water started pouring in and she was kinda like uhhhhh bcuz she was panicking but she didnt want us to panic too and my dad looked out of the window and my sister started crying and mind you i still had NO FUCKING IDEA what was happening bc i had my headphones on, but eventually i took my headphones off and realize o shit i hear running water and there are dogs whinging outside and uhh yk i connected the dots
genuinely i have no idea how i didnt cry right then, i felt like maybe i should feel smth and like yeah i was shocked and scared but like othe than that i didnt cry
mom told us to go up in the loft and turn up our music rlly loud and so we did and our dad said it was going back down and everything was fine and it was back to regular flood levels (usually its only upto our ancles at the most when we're just in front of the house)
our house isnt too well sealed either so water started getting in in some spots and ughhh it was just a disasterrrrr
so its the next mornig now and my brother sleeps in his car so he saw most of it and he said the water was up to the THIRD LEVEL of the CATTLE PANEL outside
A . FUCKING . CATTLE . PANEL . THE THIRD LEVEL
if youve never seen a cattle panel before LOOK IT UP thats pretty fuckin high
anyway
there was an earthquake in cali AND mexico (we're right in between the two) so ig we're pretty blessed that it didn hit us
so im sure you can geuss what happened to the dogs, , , we saw a few this morning but we still arent sure who all is missing or dead
the generator is flooded i think and doesnt work anymore so now the only power we have is our inverter that doesnt power everything we need at the same time and dies periodically but its fine we're alive
i thimk anything that used to be out there besides the grill and maybe a few other things are completely gone
we havant tried the car yet bc as you can probly guess its muddy asfuck n we arent looking to get stuck on top of everything
anyway how was your night ^_^
FLASH FLOOD WARNING . IT'S LITERALLY CHRISTMAS WHY
So um the city where I used to live (and am visiting currently) has severely flooded and all main roads were cut off for a couple days.
I'm fine now (at the airport heading home) but there are many people who aren't, including friends & family. People have died, including an SES volunteer, and it's all very scary and WET. it's also very reminiscent of the 2011 flooding.
So, um, thoughts and prayers ig?? I'm not really sure what people can do to help, because rn it's about saving lives and preparing as best u can for the later clean up. I'll rb later with some links to donate to.
