I know, right?!? Like...I get that we all encounter terrible people from different genders and whatnot but treating women and nonbinary folks like they’re ‘fr**ks’ who don’t understand your experiences as a trans man, just so you can get that sweet, sweet validation from cis men ain’t the way to be livin.
Trans mlm who do this are obviously suffering from a lot of internalized transphobia, homophobia, and picked up a lot of misogyny because of their experiences. But instead of finding a way to cope with their own issues, they’ve chosen to believe in bullshit respectability politics and think that shitting on women and nonbinary people is what’s gonna give them that extra ‘real man’ boost that they want, so cis men can validate their identity as men.
It’s sad. And it’s even sadder to see so many young trans men doing this because they might not have access to irl trans spaces with other trans folks who can give them better perspectives on the trans experience that isn’t just doom and gloom.
