Hello everyone! I’m recovering right now and plan to start posting again tomorrow (at least 3 polls a day hopefully to start). Thank you for all the well wishes, everything is going smoothly. Here’s some pics of my surgery buddy, Spot Sputnik, who was given to me by my sister before my first surgery 17 years ago and has gone through each surgery with me since. Sometimes the doctors and nurses add to him! The hospital gown was from my first surgery, the leg splint was from my second surgery, and for my fifth (this one) my amazing nurse gave him a cap, mask, and stomach incisions where mine are. Thought you all might like to see him :)

2019 is the year I survived another dangerous spine surgery. The year my body decided to stop breathing randomly due to instability in my neck until I got surgery. So I had spine surgery number 2 and survived. I may not have done anything else or anything of note in 2019 but I survived when there was a good chance I wouldn't. And I'm proud of that.

Oh yeah it's a normal incision. It looks great for 3 weeks post op and being glued!

But then turn to the side and...

It's a fucking butthole....on my back. 😂😂

c section incision about 5-6 days after. my doctor apparently used dissolvable stitches and what he describe as glue over it. and the black spots is just from the bandages.

Post op adventures day....*thinks* ...18? Ok, so, y'day M made lil sis her birthday cake - a red velvet rose, and I did (tho not made) the icing. Today it got lit (& mostly eaten). Much, much less discharge for first time since the operating staff forgot to turn in the wound drain.... Bloodier than y'day, pus still present but hopefully in a healing sense? Incision itself looks like it's healing not worsening, tho I do get occasional electric shock pains in and around that area. Demeter found a good cuddle spot - between my side and my arm, under the duvet.
