whatcha been up to recently?

mostly various illnesses.

(tw for below the cut, I didn't intend to talk so much about medical procedures :/ it's not really a vent since I'm not super upset, just complaining and also celebrating a little)

today will be my last infusion!! so excited, guys, so excited to never get an infusion ever again (I say, knowing full well that I may need more infusions in the future,)

however, one of my most hated parts of getting an infusion is the IV being put in and in a few weeks I'll need an IV put in to give me anesthesia for a procedure that I will not be talking about :(

it's a pretty rough procedure that'll make me a little miserable for a few days and might not even solve anything.

on a lighter note my birthday is in a few days! yay! my mom's gonna make homemade cheesecake, mmmm tasty!!!!

Guess who’s in the hospital for a cyst that’s been a bad problem!!! I am!! I’m in so much pain, lmao. They had to poke me five times to figure out blood work and an iv. 😖👍

Had my first ever bad experience with needles :/

Went to the ER and they stabbed me FOUR different times and only found a vein on the very last stab. Each one hurt, even the final one that actually found a vein. My later nurses were baffled by the last one hurting :/

They said my veins were really tiny. I said "is it a dehydration thing?". They said "well some people are just like that :)". I said "Its never been an issue for me before?". They said nothing for the rest of that particular visit.

My arms still ache :( ive never had any issues like this before :(

Also my finger nails turned dark blue and no one brought it up. I only noticed bc one of them squeezed my thumbnail without warning! My mom got gaslight-y about it and asked if it was from my hair dye??? (I don't have blue hair? I haven't dyed my hair for months? I think she was mixing it up with clothing dye which STILL happened weeks ago and also My Nails Were Not Stained??? Squeezing Your Nail Doesn't Make Dye Go Away??????)

last hospital post i swear but I thought this was funny..

Due to my old insurance fucking me over, I haven't been able to get my briumvi in a hot minute, so I had to restart it today, right?

I've never had a reaction to it, but it is possible to have pseudo-reactions to it for reasons I do not remember, but it's expected so as part of the treatment they preemptively give you benadryl through your iv line.

Cool. I think nothing of it, because again, I've never had a reaction and I know what to expect.

So anyway, they had to give me more benadryl because I started having a minor reaction since my body wasn't used to it anymore. I've been sleeping off the effects since like 11 am, it's now almost 5 here. I'm still tired.
