      Daken had spent far too long going back & forth on whether or not he should mess with the Winter Soldier for his mother’s death, his birth mom, not that horrible woman who adopted him. He knew what it was like to be made into a weapon, he knew people didn’t have control most of the time when it happened, didn’t mean he was above playing a little.

       Laura might say something differently, that he’d changed & grown past it, but he really hadn’t. Sure, he didn’t do a lot of what he used to, holding in the urges & habits he’s had all of his lifetime, but it came to a point on some instances, where he just didn’t care. 

       It took him awhile to figure out where to talk to James Barnes, tracking, thinking, plotting, stewing. Daken was finished with that, his blue eyes sparking dangerously as he made his way to the bar, sliding onto the stool next to the other man, his eyes sparking at the other man teasingly, kindly. The dangerous glint vanishing only to be replaced with a charming smile.

      “Hello, stranger. Can I buy you a drink?” He purrs at James, using his pheromones shamelessly on the other man so he wouldn’t want to say no.
