I think the best part about Sterek is that Stiles never told Derek his name and Derek never told Stiles his name.  Stiles has a pretty good reason for knowing who he is since the Hale fire was a big deal, but Derek clearly paid attention to Stiles to learn his.

I feel like their coach keeps Stiles around because he likes him and he likes talking to him. He doesn't seem to yell at Stiles like he yells at the other players.
