This charming lizard had his vet visit today and was diagnosed with being a good boy.

It was really freakin' funny when the vet tech came in with a little kitchen scale, saw him, and put it down and said "Ok, we're not weighing him on that". He needed to be weighed on the cat scale because he's a big boy. He'd never seen a blue tongue skink before, he thought it was gonna be a little grass lizard XD

Adamai is very mild tempered and easy to handle so the vet had no problems with the exam and she was so impressed with him she asked if she could take him in back to show off to her co-workers and if it was ok to take some pictures, lol. I've had him for 11 years so I often forget that he's not a common critter, even as a pet.

He's a little on the chubby side, but otherwise healthy, which is nice.

Wiress did not know exactly what was going on in the house across the street from her, but she knew enough. The day after she watched the Delarouxs leaving their new home all dressed in black- minus a member, she noted- she decided it was time to do something neighbourly.

She’d lived in the Victor’s Village since she was fifteen, and Three’s wasn’t exactly bustling. But when there was a funeral, she thought neighbours probably did something. Friends definitely did, and Pixel was her friend. It was her duty, as a friend, to offer comfort, to say she’d be there should she need support.

Tucking Quinn and Quill into the pockets of her shirt, she jogged across the road and rang the doorbell. When it opened, though, she just... forgot. Forgot how conversation worked.

“Hello. Here is a gecko.” She took Quill out of her pocket and held her out to Pixel. “Are you okay?”

Wiress has felt bad about leaving her mother home alone during Games season for the longest time, and been unsure how to fix it. Most pets are too high maintenance, and while she did consider getting a cat, that’s out of the question now that she’s officially dating Glitter Rosseau (who is afraid of them).

Enter Quinn and Quill!! Two leopard geckos. Wiress did not expected to get so attached to them, so fast. But she and her mother both adore the little lizards, and they’ve quickly become firm members of the Neville household.

They were everywhere. On his clothes, in his hair, on the walls, crawling all over him in a massive swarm. Their glassy eyes stared up at him, unblinking yet full of malicious intent, and he nearly vomited when one tried to crawl into his mouth.

Dozens - no, hundreds of lizards climbed up Sekigan’s body while more seemed to come from every corner of the room. They came from the vents, through the windows, under the crack in the door, and from the walls themselves. No matter how hard he tried to swipe the little bastards off of him, they stayed clutched to his body like they were permanently attached to his clothes and skin.

The door wouldn’t open. Were there so many that they had blocked the door itself? He couldn’t tell. The window was too dark to see through. All he could do was bang on the door and hope that someone - anyone - would hear his cries for help over the blaring fire alarm.

Out of the corner of his eye, Sekigan saw a large snake rear its head and bare its fangs at him.

At that moment, he screamed louder than he’d ever screamed in his life.
