BREAKING: LOCAL SOUP FUTURES SERIOUSLY IMPERILED
TW: bugs, snails, and worms, oh my!
WIP pride mug(the 'black' is actually a very dark blue-green glaze! <3) for myself with a mug that has an issue. Very excited to do the rim and take it up to be fired.
I was gonna ramble about relearning to love creating and how much I've improved in a month by just doing lots. But whatever.
I like drawing things I fear, so for example, bears! But during this month I decided to try drawing bugs. And not only do I really enjoy drawing fictitious beetles and snails with blueberry's for shells but also... I've become a bug lover. My YT suggestions are full of bug videos, I'm looking up cool bugs and documentaries on them. It's a wild time!!!
Here are some current fav little aceo/atc friends(worst photo ever lol)! Snails and worms were done last night and I think I'm hitting a happier style for me. It's way more fun to do than what I was doing even a few weeks ago! IDGAF if anything is perfect or my line work is wonky, just that I had fun. Love it.
anyways I still have beef with ants, despite watching sooooo much shit on them(tho watching them decapitate shit is metal)
(TW WORM)
Omg not me googling what's a trikini and getting this mf
(I got that it was a type of bikini tho but this being my first search result was fun lmao)
Ah yes, curled worm that kinda seems looked at from a microscope, my favourite type of bikini.
Oh, also progress photos of making him. I don't have his filling phase though. Teen phase missed, sniff sniff.
Yeah, I had to look at this for a couple of days because I HAD TO TAKE A BREAK AND BOY I SHOULD HAVE BEEN MORE CAREFUL BECAUSE SOMEBODY DOESNT OWN A SEWING MACHINE, IS AN AMATEUR SEWER (???) AND HAD TO SEW THIS WHOOOOLE THING BY HAND AND DID IT WRONG CUZ THERE'S LIKE TINY HOLES ALL OVER HIS BODY AND NOW HE'S EVER SO SLIGHTLY SHARP. I also don't know how to use a sewing machine, and have never been near one, so I don't even know what I'm missing. Also any better ideas for inverting this behemoth with two wire spines? It's a terrible process to invert, and fill 2-3 ft of tube when his spine is in the way. If you want to know what it's like to pull two 2-3 ft of spines out of a small mouth, this is a way to find out! hilarious and also wut.
I may one day disassemble him, and redo his stitching. My friend offered, but I'm too damn tired, and like look at him. He's FIIINE. For someone who's an amateur who is doing this by hand, he ended up perfectly FINE.
Also glad ya'll seem to like him. I'm going to terrorize people irl with him.
My worm son is done. Not...uh the best work because he's verryyy patchy, but he's existing. And he is LONG. Also never knew how hard it would be to just work on a tube. IT IS SURPRISINGLY CHALLENGING CUZ STUFFING AND INVERTING THIS WAS A NIGHTMARE.
I also overstuffed him a bit, so he's a bit hard to pose. Sigh.
BUT HE IS HERE. WELCOME SON ENJOY EXISTING. Tight, now I can go watch anime, and do other things.
