What's their personal hygiene routine

They both bathe/shower every day or every two days, depending on the situation. Shaving (of the face, these mfs do not shave anywhere else because who gaf)* is a once-a-week thing (and so is testosterone injection), but when it comes to touching up existing 'staches Alistair pretty much fixes up his every day (probably carries a little comb with him always) while Wainwright just kinda dgaf unless he has to look presentable.

In general Wainwright cares a bit less for hygiene than his husband, but he does not neglect it by any means. He's simply more of a soap and water guy than Sir Alistair "I actually have a dedicated face cleanser, shocking I know" Hammerlock-Jakobs.

Sometimes they bathe together, and if so then its either in their home (shameless plug for my bubble bath fic btw) or in the Jakobs family bathhouse ("Nikolai how do you know the Jakobs family has a personal bathhouse" Eden-6 is geothermally active + look at that one map on Gehenna + Jakobs is part space yeehaw and part space Japanese, I think these mfs deserve a little onsen as a treat + ratio + it took more than one shot), and they use quite a bit of fancy bath products (oils, soaps, etc etc; all Jakobs brand of course, these mfs take bathtime Seriously). In general I think they frequent said bathhouse quite often.

They both clip their nails a Lot. And I do mean a lot. In Alistair's case he needs his organic hand's nails short to fit into his gloves. In Wainwright's case, long nails are sensory hell. In both cases, short nails make operating Jakobs weapons less risky - lower chance of getting your thumb stuck in something and so on. (And also another reason which I will not discuss.)

They always both wash up(tm) thoroughly before any sort of big formal event. They are fine gentlemen after all.

Last but not least: Alistair gets a compulsory bath every time he returns from an expedition, to wash out all that beast stink. He can get pretty stanky after days chasing a beast across a showerless forest </3

* A note on Wainwright shaving: I think shaving is the one thing his shitass neglective father actually taught him. Yes, back when the manor had people in it the Jakobs clan did have a personal barber, but it was still considered improper for a man to not be able to shave himself. So when Montgomery found his young son growing his first hairs after about 6 months of HRT, he scolded him for his shitass technique that's gonna make him cut himself and showed him how to do it properly. Not out of fatherly care, but out of spite.

Dude what kinda bugs do you recommend. For a person who likes bugs

Like as a pet or to read about? As pets I’d recommend cockroaches - they are easy to care for and will eat anything. Hissing cockroaches are fun.

To read about id recommend looking for insects in your local area. There’s a lot of books about insects in different areas. I’m reading a book about insects in midwests forests and it’s real fun!

I'm gonna go withhh... White Diamond!! Either her or Blue. I really like Blue's constant display of emotions. As for White, I like her for the opposite reason. She's so damn terrifying BECAUSE she doesn't display many emotions, at least not until her redemption. She gives off a very eerie/uncomfortable vibe, which works pretty well for her character.

Numbers one and two are very simple, they are Atlantic sturgeon or atlantinsampi (ennen sinisampi, mutta nimi muutettiin vähän aikaa sitten paremmin kuvaamaan lajia…. itse tykkäisin yhä sinisammesta, kun ei Itämeri Atlantti ole) and northern pike or good old hauki!!! My top third fish… err. It’s been a long while since I readjusted my rankings, my former top third whale shark (valashai) is no longer that near and dear to me. I feel I nowadays like other fish more, like lampreys (nahkiaiset), marlins (marliinit), gars (luuhauet), tunas (tonnikalat), stargazers (taivaantähystäjät), ocean sunfish (möhkäkala) — WAIT WAIT WAIT NO!!!! NO I DO HAVE A TOP THIRD FAVE FISH!!!! LUNGFISH!!! LUNGFISH!!!! LUNGFISH!!!!!!! KEUHKO VITUN KALA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! KEUHKOKALA!!! How did I forget my dear dear lovely amazing perfect lungfish!!???? My mind always blanks when I am specifically asked… Well no matter, I remembered now! I find myself liking the African lungfishes the most, I think, I haven’t narrowed it down to species level! So yeah :D

You’ll perhaps find now that some of these names are more or less direct translations or borrowed words from English (or another language)! Likely because a good bit of them do not reside here and therefore a name didn’t organically rise. Peculiarly, gars do have their own name, so to speak, luuhauki (bonepike for English fellows)?? Strange indeed.

Do your ocs celebrate the holidays? In what ways? If not, what do they usually do?

The most interesting answer to this is Simon and Lucy, so I'm going with that.

Simon and Lucy are both interfaith since mom is Christian and Dad is Jewish. Since they were raised with both, they celebrate BOTH Christian and Jewish holidays. Their traditions are similar to ours, but with an Addams-esque monstery twist as well as humany ones.

For example:

• Mistletoad (Mistletoe with a toad in it) from @drericka

• A Hannukah Manora with a bat and monster candles

• Poison toffee Apples for Rosh Hashana

• Vampire-ear shaped hamantachen filled with eye of newt

• Chocolate frog hunts on Passover

• Shrunken heads and spiders as christmas ornaments

• snake garlands

• Honestly most things from Nightmare before Christmas would be perfect for them. Right down to the vampire teddy.

• Black-wrapped christmas presents or other spooky wrapping paper

• Webbing tree skirt

• Twice the dress up fun: Halloween AND Purim

• Spooky candies like Cockroach clusters, blood-flavored lollipops, sugary butterfly wings, chocolate skeletons, etc

Like imagine the Haunted Holiday Haunted Mansion take over but with both Hannukah and Christmas, you kinda get the vibe of Drac Fam holidays.

Also when they're older and traveling around, they always come back home for holidays too.
