If you want you can ignore this as this can be a sensitive topic but how do you think Terry would react if beloved had a miscarriage?
― Twig would be profoundly devastated and he'd legitimately think this is his fault and his doing. His incompetence. Maybe if he took more care of beloved? Maybe if he was protective? Maybe if he limited beloved's movements? Maybe if he got to the bottom of what stressed beloved out? Maybe if he! Maybe if he! Maybe if he! He shoulders the guilt even though it isn't his doing. He doesn't want to accept that tragedies and accidents, unfortunately enough, simply happen and that it isn't his fault in the first place. He feels it is, acutely so, in an bout of self-deprecation and there's no convincing him of the opposite. He feels this some sort of punishment bestowed upon him. That he is simply too weak and too wimpy to protect those he loves, as usually. Maybe this is all karmic payback for what happened in Vietnam. The universe trying to tell him to toughen up. Maybe he deserves it. Beloved certainly doesn't. But, he does. The idea makes him obsessively inconsolable.
― 80's Terry is furious. He's livid. He's going to kill someone, he just isn't certain who yet. The doctors? The nurses? The well-paid staff for not taking better care of beloved? Whoever it is that prepared something bad they ate? Whoever was tasked with looking after them? Maybe punching a drywall for good measure? Suing someone for negligence to get his own personal frustrations out? If he doesn't have a clear-cut foe to attack and devastate, he'll literally invent one for himself. His anger has to be channelled somewhere, or it'll fester and drive him crazy. How dare things slip so much out of control? How could this happen? He's far too rich and powerful for something, in his opinion, as medieval as a miscarriage to even be an option in the middle of LA, in a mansion on Beverly Hills of all places. First thing's first, the minute beloved recovers, he'll rectify the situation singlehandedly. He'll impregnate them again and he will have what he set out to have in the first place.
― Old man Terry is on the verge of a literal mental breakdown. There is no reasoning with him. If he could, all morbid, graphic descriptions aside, preserve the remains of his dead offspring, blood clots and all, he would (probably does too, the doctors bribed off and threatened to make it happen for him), purely because he's sincerely maddened and extremely affected. He was so close to actually producing a legacy and a family all of his own, so very late in life, finding someone he actually loved for a change to do it with, witnessing his baby growing in beloved's womb and now they're forever lost and stolen from him. They're dead. He'd get seriously drunk and smash things and he'd legitimately weep in anger, spiraling to an extremely dark and unhinged place as he bloodies his fists on the furniture and broken bottles. There's a genuine sadness and desperation to him and the whole incident. Much like 80's Terry, he'll try again with beloved. He'll try and try until he fucking can't anymore. It is his only consolation.
okay but give me @richardxoliverxmayhew comforting @dontcxckitup when he finds out about Wendy’s miscarriage.....
Natalia yawned as she stretched out in the bed, her head still resting on Devin’s chest as it had been when they fell asleep last night. She had never really been much of a still sleeper, always kicking and turning, until she slept beside the wrestler. She’d never really been calm and relaxed until she met Dev; always doing or thinking about something. Her girls, their next routines, practice, Traci... But, Devin allowed her mind to rest. She felt safe with her. That was worth more than anything to Natalia. Safety.
She grimaced a little as she felt a pain in her stomach, her hand going to it and rubbing it softly. It had been hurting a little on and off for a couple days, but she’d not thought much of it because the Doctor said a little cramping was normal. But, this was like a shooting pain, like a stabbing. Nat glanced up and saw that Dev was still asleep, and she smiled a little before gently sitting up and getting out of bed and heading to the bathroom.
Yawning again, she sat down on the toilet with her eyes closed and emptied her bladder. God, she wasn’t looking forward to the morning visits to the toilet to throw up from morning sickness. But, damn it was going to be worth it to meet their little angel. She stood up and wiped and then she saw it. The blood. She screamed. “DEVIN!” Natalia called out for her wife as she dropped down onto the side of the tub, hands shaking, paniked breathing.
She heard the door swing open and she looked up. “Dev, I’m-- I’m bleeding.”.

Breathless Ch. 3
Hotch was awoken in the middle of the night by his phone buzzing on the nightstand. He was still in his work clothes and clutching June’s sweater to his chest. He had fallen asleep clutching her sweater. As he came to his senses, he snatched his phone off the nightstand.
“Hotchner,” was his clipped response.
Please don’t take my sunshine away... (Happy Mother’s Day~)
🌼Ayaka was simply resting at home, after all she was due any day now. Her husband had gone off to work already, promising to be free should her water break. A soft smile made its way onto her lips as her hand came to rest on her swollen belly. When they first found out she was pregnant, her husband had been ecstatic. While she hadn’t thought it wise for them to have a child yet, she had grown use to the idea of a child. They had already picked out a few names, Hiroaki, Roxas, Kosuke if it was a boy and Kaiya, Nozomi or Yoko if it was a girl.
Although Ayaka already knew it was a boy, and had been set on a name. Thankfully her husband agreed with the name as well and the two had already set up his crib. Humming to herself, she moved to get up as she moved to get herself some tea; a gasp escaping her as she shakily grasped the edge of the door frame, feeling something wet trail down her legs. Making her way to the phone, she quickly picks it up to dial 911 and telling them what happened and her address. She winced as she went to call her husband, but sadly only got his voicemail.
By the time the ambulance arrived, Ayaka was shaking and holding her stomach as if to stop the pain. Getting her into the ambulance, she asked them if they could try and call her husband before crying out as another wave of pain ran through her. Once they got to the hospital, she pleaded with them to wait for her husband to get there, but the pain was getting to be too much and she was quickly rushed to the emergency room as things began to get to be too much for her.
However things weren’t going as smoothly as Ayaka had hopped, she was currently trying to process everything that had happened in the past few hours. First something had gone wrong during her birth, and she had lost her newborn son; and then she found out that they were unable to reach her husband due to an accident on the railways. Her emerald gaze dull as she stared blankly at the bedsheets, holding onto them tightly. This couldn’t be happening… Could it…? It didn’t help that Mother’s Day was right around the corner.
“…What a way to spend Mother’s Day…”
Sally has been through A LOT of trauma in the past.
Even since she was born, Sally could see and communicate with spirits. Talk about terrifying to a child. This never went away and she still sees ghosts and can speak with them if she concentrates.
Her sister hated the idea of her becoming a cop, causing a rift between them for years.
Her ex became highly non-supportive of her career choice(s) and verbally abusive
She got shot in the spine, causing nerve damage in the left side of her body for the rest of her life. She underwent constant, rigorous, and extensive painful physical therapy to regain mobility in her legs for 6-8 months after her initial surgeries. Depression set in atop the PTSD making it all much harer.
Later, she became pregnant and had a miscarriage at 7.5 months. She had to deliver a premie stillborn. She still remembers her daughter’s face.
She became depressed again, PTSD now severely worsened by losing her baby. Her fiance blamed her for losing their daughter and left her just before Christmas. With a note. And all his things gone.
When she finally began moving past this and healing, advancing in her career --- Rick got shot. She didn’t get to see him before the outbreak started.
A few short years after finding her sister again, Lori dies.
After this, one by one it seems her group/family just keeps losing more and more of their own.
So yeah, Sally is pretty messed up but she’s been through a lifetime of trauma that other people couldn’t even fathom. We don’t consider Carl’s death canon, but in some verses where it’s acknowledged, She also lost her nephew. And in some verses, even Rick. It’s an understatement to say that Sally is fucking tired. And surviving is hard. even without the walkers.
“Is that blood??”
“Salazar—,” surprised by his appearance in the guest chambers. Her voice could not hide her discomfort, cheeks flushed and beads of sweet forming along her brow. The pain was proving to be more than she had imagined, physically. She had not allowed herself to delve into the darkness yet. But with him there...
The house elves were busy changing the sheets, stained in dark crimson. Claire leaned against the poster for support, trying to put on a brave face in nothing but her nightgown. She tried to quiet down her thoughts—worried for what was to come. She knew what was happening earlier in the day with the unusual spotting—the pain. Truth be told, her suspicions began even a month prior. But to be excited? Never. Not when she knew this to be the inevitable.
She also knew there wasn’t a way to get to a hospital without Salazar finding out. As stubborn as she was—her best option, in her mind, was to tell him she wished to spend her evening in the library, studying up on divination topics—rather fascinating if albeit absolute nonsense in her opinion...
A lie. A lie to save him the pain she was prepared to bear alone. Claire had prepared for everything—except Wolly mustering up the nerve to speak to his feared Master with such honesty.
“Salazar—-go. Everything will be alright,” she urged—begged. No—he couldn’t be here. He couldn’t dare see her like this. She couldn’t fail before his eyes. Another cramp across her abdomen forced her to double over, groaning into the sensation. “Go!” she cried, emotions attempting to seep into the moment. Once that happened—there would be no saving her sense of calm, much like the unborn child that would never develop to see light of day.
