You ever stop to think about how most of the characters in this series have eaten people? Like, do they still feel full after they get their human bodies back? Did... did the remains have to come out the other end? Did they immediately get sick after realizing what they did? Were there any titan shifters throughout history who actually enjoyed eating another human and decided “you know what, I think this cannibalism thing is alright, let’s get some more lil morsels up in here”

We know from season one that titan bodies don’t have full digestive systems, so I’m guessing the remains are either dissolved in the titans stomach acid or disappear with the shifters titan form when they leave the body.

The shifters also feel something from the titan body, though I’d wager a guess that the sense of pain has to be muted. They most likely could feel something in the stomach though? I’m not sure how in tune they are to the body, other than the wire-like nerves that connect them to the titan. Now that I’m thinking about it those fibers must connect into them while they’re piloting. This would feed the new shifting powers into Eren somehow while he’s piloting, even if the titan can’t really digest. So the connection must be two way from that standpoint, allowing for control of the titan form one way and the acquisition of titan powers the other way.

So maybe the shifter could theoretically gain some sort of nutrition from eating while in titan form?? This is really all theoretical and up in the air.

It really strikes me every time I rewatch how normal everyone seems about the cannibalism in the show. Like they seem almost casual about it, Reiner even eats a dude during his final fight scene in season 4. Though it would be way more normal for the warrior candidates, they were raised with it as almost a goal in their lives. I do think Eren probably should have had a frantic moment when he realized that he ate his dad. Armin freaks out a bit, but I would have absolutely thrown up at the realization.

Instead of a Titan shifter deciding they enjoy eating people at some point in history, I’d wager that they probably used it as a fear technique at some point. It’s absolutely terrifying to think about your enemies eating you alive, you wouldn’t even want to challenge them. This could have lead to the ‘devils’ moniker that eldians have earned.

Now since we are getting on the subject of troll cannibalism 

After having written  Dia for about two years now I have come to maaaannnyy thoughts about troll cannibalism 

Like how they probably prepare grubs in multiple ways, like boiling it and making stews with it since that is one of the best ways  to ensure that its fucking dead and is going to fucking stay dead How that higherblooded grubs are probably slightly more nutritious because of the extra fat on them to keep them warm in the ocean 

How that if you were a troll with a taste for ADULT/NON GRUB TROLLS you would have to be very careful and sneaky about it, run a business where if someone juuust so happens to die no one will really think twice about it

LETS ALSO CHAT ABOUT HOW YOU PROBABLY HAVE TO HAVE A  FREEZER LIKE A BIG ONE bECAUSE NO ONE CAN EAT A WHOLE TROLL IN A DAY AND THEY PROBABLY GOTTA DO SOMETHING WITH ALL THAT MEAT

HOW KURU IS POSSIBLY A THING?? LIKE CAN YOU EAT TROLL AND NOT GO NUTS???

Also there is also the thought about meat dealers for trolls who dont want to go out and get their hands dirty but still want fresh meat

hunger games verse; [ v; joels demise ] joel is a capitol resident and victor that once belonged to district twelve. during his visits back to his home place, joel would sneak supplies back and notify katniss of the items. he knew that she was usually out hunting with gale so that her people wouldn't starve or risk putting their names in for more grain, he just wanted to help the best way that he can. a few peacekeepers and disgruntled victors from one and two caught onto his treachery and notified the president. at first snow made him watch the armored soldiers take every last morsel of food and declare that they take on cannibalism in order to survive; he watched a few manic miners fight to the death just to sever any viable limb for a starving body. his next line of punishment was allowing beauticians of the captiol clean himself up to prepare joel to be auctioned for sexual favors to gain proceeds for future games. all of his winnings were revoked, house burnt to the ground - including his tattered bungalow in twelve. the whereabouts of his two sons were a mystery, no one seen them taken away by the capitol or witnessed an escape. joel was forced to obey to those who paid for him, and was sent back to his cell within the catacombs in which those who betrayed the authority were sent. from time to time a extravagently cooked meal is delivered to his unit, but he refuses to touch it because joel knows the smell of burnt flesh, and it's a plate to remember the deaths hes caused in twelve.  joel patiently awaits everdeen to spark a rebellion.
