She was ten And her sister ran away (”May we meet again”) (They held a funeral) (It was like she never existed)
She was fourteen And she decided to be a hero (A reckless choice) (Bruises and broken bones) (She couldn’t stop)
She was fifteen And her sister came back (An arm and mind of metal) (A fight) (A memory burned into both minds)
She was eighteen And she was driven from her home (Called a monster) (Called a freak) (Called a hero)
She was twenty-six And she was killed by an old friend (She had killed a god) (But the gods never leave) (A blade through the chest for them both)
