Moonlight lost room! ;
Memories of the beginning
It was cold and raining when she was found. she felt her body shiver due to the water hitting her skin. That was until it stopped.
The girl slowly looked up to see a umbrella over her head.
Green eyes open when she wakes up in random. The air was frigid and her body was cold but not to the point she would die. Her eyes look around as she hear the soft foot falls as a door opened.
Right she in that place.
Chaldea right?
Slowly she sat up knowing the silver-haired woman was ignoring her. She was alone In the back after all. The girl stays quiet until the director started yealing again.
And once again the girl waited for the yelling to stop.
She was tired....maybe shed take a nap.
The next time she woke up pain rocks her lower body and the world around her was on fire.
TESTIMONY || DANIELLE HARPER [ 29.04.18]
Dani: [ sits, forcing herself to not look at the bastard who´s not only done awful things to innocent people, but who´s also trying to weasel his way out of it. She´s not a violent person, but if she could get away with it she´d punch him in the face.
Sadly she can´t. So instead she swears on the magical laws ( because she has to ) and focuses on the people questioning her. ]
Dani: “My name is Danielle Harper and I live at #502 Scircon Square at NYADA. I´ve been attending the school as a 1st year since November 2017. I´ve known Kurt Hummel, one of the missing Lusus Naturae who were found at Brownstone, from my time before NYADA and when he went missing I was worried. My friends and I went looking for him and discovered that he wasn´t the only one missing. “
Dani: [ thinks back on all the victims, the names and the pictures she´s got memorized and she swallows, wishing there was more she could have done ]
Dani: “We entered Brownstone on January 26th to look for Kurt. The walls in the hall were covered in pictures of different Lusus Naturae in…explicit positions. I was close to Quinn Fabray when we were separated from the rest of the group and ended up in a room together. The room was filled with fog and we only later discovered that it was the Aviary. There was something in the fog, at first we couldn´t make out what it was, but there were voices saying things and singing something that sounded like a lullaby. It wasn´t comforting at all though. It was painful. To me it felt like all the pain and despair I had ever felt was coming back to me and it took all my willpower to not… [ She cuts herself off, shaking her head. ] It was hard to focus. I had never seen creatures like this before, it´s what I called them before Quinn Fabray told me that they were Nephilim. They were in pain and they couldn´t free themselves. They were stuck floating just above the ground in that Aviary. The voices and song we were hearing were in Enochian. A language I didn´t speak, but Quinn did. She cast a spell to help the Nephilim. It calmed them down a bit, enough for Quinn and I to find our way out of the room.”
Dani: [ takes a breath and suddenly wishes she had talked to Quinn a little more. Luckily Dani´s got good control over her facial expressions because otherwise she might have frowned at herself. Rreally, why would she care about talking to Quinn when Quinn clearly didn´t care much about her? ]
/ Get it together, seriously./
Dani: “When Quinn and I got out of the Aviary the fire had already started and I found myself trying to get out of the house as fast as possible. The smoke was starting to fill the corridors and I did get out eventually. And that´s all I saw at Brownstone.”
Dani: “Thank you, your honor.”
ooc.
i totally forgot that scathach giggles when they start roasting a dude ( literal roasting, mind you ). she’s so adorable. ♥
Ok, question:
What THE FUCK are people thinking? I just.
I wanna tell a story: not so long ago in a land not very far away at all there was a group of children, and they spent nearly every day at a place where there was a pretty field behind it with a pretty creek and minnows and tadpoles and it was fun to try to catch the fish and tadpoles.
The creek, eventually came to a road, which it went under in a draining pipe. That road was the interstate. With a “‘70 mph speedlimit’” (or dare-to-surpass-limit, depending).
Do you know what one of the first Outside rules some of those children learned was?
That’s right “if I so much as hear you went near, let alone into, let alone on the drain pipe in the creek, your ass is grass.”
Like, did we forget that squishy human body + eighteen wheeler@ 65+mph = human jello ?
And setting roads and bridges and infrastructure on fire especially one with an accelerant endangers your loved ones because, assuming anyone care enough to actually put the fire out, and can figure out what will put it out, the state isn’t replacing the bridge until it may collapse or it is close to the time it was scheduled to be replaced.
That hurts your and your neighbors families, your town, your routes to work, your food supply?
Like, I get that you’re angry and things are unfair. I fully understand being terrified because the cop also made a left turn with you, and followed for the next 3 miles on a loop.
I have had a gun brandished and held to me and someone threaten to shoot.
I have participated in silent protests where there were people against the protest on the side of the road with guns (I mean, to be fair, I am also absolutely positive that the conseal-carry pistols and handguns held by men and women of every color, county, and creed probably unknowingly numbered those guns 10:1 but...). And the only people that made hupla was the news.
I understand being batshit terrified and feeling helpless and angry and like the whole entire world is stacked against you.
But you know what else I can attest to?
Rioting never solved the problem. What made it a place where people could no longer open their mouths and say otherwise wasn’t looting the streets and smashing local businesses so that people are once again afraid enough they start a rotation to protect local shops.
What made people stop and thing, as shitty as it is, I know, I Know. Was the silent protests. Was the banding together. The boycotts.
Because Birmingham didn’t blink but to wag their tongues and fingers at the rioting, but when half the buses no longer had their clientele, they noticed. Because it made statewide Arkansas news that The Little Rock 9 walked in without a peep, despite the horror they faced. The sit ins were effective because they had nothing to bait with, except for the shocking truth and the palor of flimsy lies.
Because, eventually, “when reviled, he opened not his mouth” is the news that no one can protest. No one can spin it. No one can defame it unless they spin lies. I understand that my great-grandparents, such a short bit ago, were the ones who either witnessed or changed history- just a very short time ago, and every step was hard won. But the things that no one can raise a word against aren’t the riots. The things that made honest people stop and say “wait, what the fuck?!” wasn’t going Kristallnacht.
Violence begets more violence. Why come to Them on their battlefield?
