going for the gold x obsession maybe
thinking about ososan s1e24 but with the inners
critic is finally taking his job as a critic seriously after deciding being useless all the time is just wasting his time and decided to travel far away to spread the word of fair criticism and ensure no more destructive criticism exists in humankind. in the world, when an inner wishes to improve oneself, they can travel to a faraway place somewhere to ascend to godhood and become their own consciousness. everyone was very happy for critic and bought him many gifts, it's just that ego had been eerily quiet the entire time. he is unhappy that critic, his longtime rival and frenemy even before the reset, now brother is leaving him. he felt like everything is falling apart. at first he isn't even sure that if this world that was reset is going to fall apart, but now ego is more sure of the answer. and it frustrates him to no end. he is trying to hide his vulnerability bad. he doesn't want to go back to his old life drinking and trying to become a writer after spending everyday goofing with his new brothers and friends.
his ego is shattered, so he lashes out at his own brothers and he punches gluttony out of nowhere when the atmosphere was still joyous. greed have to punch ego and pull him away so he don't harm gluttony further. everyone looks at them in concern. critic left to be a god on bad terms and didn't manage to give them his parting letter. ego wasn't there for when he left and he was holed up in their room upstairs.
crea is the next to go. he attempted to hit ego to get back at him for hitting gluttony but ego overpowers him and left him with a huge bruise on his left eye. since he really wanted to be independent, he left after critic and assures his brothers that he's going to be fine on his own.

ok. the inner sextuplets au edit ok?
ego - greed - critic - integ - gluttony - creativity
THE INNER SEXTUPLETS would be the new name for this au
also additional lore. in this universe the world is reset so the inners' "jobs" are to ensure that their own ideas (e.g greed's is spreading greed, critic is ensure this world is a world where fair criticism is given) but the thing is. THE 6 INNERS ARE REALLY REALLY BAD AT THEIR JOBS. in this universe each of them have one major flaw that prevents them from doing this correctly thus they are "unemployed" and hang around all day as they don't really give a damn
ego - too lazy, smoking and gambling and drinking and writing bullshit all day
greed - flamboyant customer service mode with barely any backbone. tries oh so hard to be assertive but if you beat him that one time he would actually back away like a salesman and cry about it. disclaimer: he is not kind like karamatsu he's still an ass all around because he corrupt others morals and know very well what he's doing can ruin others
critic - criticising others ALL THE DAMN TIME. esp his brothers. he tries to act normal but in reality he doesn't really give a fuck about fair criticism. as long as you offend/insult him, he starts firing personal attacks at you like a machine gun
integrity - too mysterious. no one knows what he's thinking. sometimes he likes to lie to make others feel better or do things for his own gain. looks up to greed (which is able to display his sin of greed so perfectly out for everyone else to see whereas he have to uphold integrity and display discipline all the time because that is what's expected of him)
gluttony - gatekeeping of the sin of gluttony. he thinks it should all be for himself and himself only
creativity - dry monster that is chronically online and likes to watch brainrot. too focused on his social life to really get more hobbies other than painting and convinced himself he is more up and out there with the people who goes to fancy cafes that sell matcha frappes. WOULD judge beginner artists behind their backs because "no one else is as creative as him"
general chainsaw and the baron's job acts as their parents to make sure they're doing their job correctly but it's not like they are better people themselves so they kind of just gave up on it
greed in the crossover au would be quite flamboyant (or he pretends to be) and instead of giving out free hugs he would just stand in the middle of the street holding a sign that says "free mysterious products at $3.50 each". he is painfully cringy and and his fashion sense is tacky. he's bit in love with himself.
something something fellow greeders
