carl's beef with michonne is sooo funny bro
Ah! Ils sont revenus dans la ville où habitait Rick
JUST HOW “suspect” WAS Rick for taking Michonne on a roadtrip with only him and Carl? Think about that basic fact. A roadtrip to his old neighborhood, no less. Therefore, a potentially emotionally draining excursion. (Perhaps Gimple, had him bring his future to meet his past? hmmm...)
He told Carl it was because he didn’t trust to leave her at the prison. First of all, you had fighters that could watch her at the prison. But guess what - Merle was at the prison.
No it wasn’t so much that he couldn’t trust Michonne. It was that he had to have her in sight at all times. He trusted her enough to have her go with Carl alone to the daycare.
Maybe he didn’t want another Merle conflict. He knew she could handle herself as a fighter. But he didn’t want something to pop off while he was gone. Maybe he feared she would actually get hurt or she would just LEAVE in her own and he would never get answers for…whatever intrigued him about her.
I’m not saying he was fully conscience of this. In fact, he didn’t examine his feelings about her until the Governor asked him to give her up. I’m not saying romantic intentions at that point, he had just lost his wife. However, that roadtrip was a test of sorts, for her but also for him. He was trying to figure her out. Figure her place in his family/life. Perhaps figure himself out or make up his mind about her in the process.
