I still crack up at Daryl dropping the jug when he offers to help Carol carry something.
I’m still convinced that was pure accident and Melissa’s face in that scene, trying hard not to laugh lmfao

5x02
can u tell me why carol was leaving pls?
Do you mean in 5x02, Strangers? If so, then I think that she was leaving because she feels so weighted down by what she had to do. She hasn't told anyone yet, which is made clear by both her conversations with Ty and Rick during the episode.
It is still unclear as well who all knows why she left the prison/that she even left. Because the Governor happened so quickly afterwards some people probably didn't even really notice anything was amiss (we only see Rick telling Maggie and Daryl about it).
Anyway, she is probably struggling greatly with this, and although everyone has welcomed her back openly and eagerly, that doesn't mean, she has forgiven herself for what she did to Lizzie, although the hurt of Karen and David, I do think she has mostly put behind her.
I think she was leaving because she couldn't bare to be around these people that she cares about so much and keep such a heavy secret from them. Honestly, I think she is so torn up and in her head that she wasn't even quite clear what she was doing. When Daryl asks her, she replies "I don't know" and I want to believe her.
Anyway, thanks for asking my thoughts anonnie! ^__^
Christian symbolism.
There was so much of that within "Strangers" — which has led to much speculation. As a Christian, I just want to give basic facts of those images and allow you do draw your own conclusions. I'm only touching on the characters that were highlighted — and will unpack it in order of bible story, as several of these build on each other :) I also treat this as each image is for the most part, specific to that character shown.
Michonne: The baby. In Egypt, Hebrews were horribly treated. Enslaved and inferior. The Pharaoh was killing baby boys of Hebrews at fear of them uprising. So, one day, praying it would save her son's life, a Hebrew mother put her baby in a basket and floated him down a river — Ironically, Pharaoh's daughter was bathing in the river as the baby floated by her. She took him in and eventually raised him as her own. That baby's name was Moses.
--> I think maybe this is symbolic of her taking on the mother role to Carl and Judith. [The 40 Days of Wandering is below]
The Burning Bush. The Israelites (the Hebrews, who were God's chosen people), as I said above, were enslaved and being tortured, killed, and beaten by Pharaoh in Egypt. They were in great pain. Moses, a Hebrew by birth, was walking about one day when a bush he was passing caught on fire. When he turned to view it, though it was engulfed in flames, its leaves and branches were not burning. He could not believe his eyes. Then God spoke to Moses. In fear he turned, but God said for him to not be afraid — that He saw how much the Israelites were suffering and that He was going to bring about a course of events that would lead them to freedom. To, "bring them up out of that land to a igood and broad land, a land jflowing with milk and honey."
GOd sent Moses and a man named Aaron to save them (if you read the comic you know how that relates, because a man named Aaron finds Rick).
--> The Burning Bush imagery is symbolic of Alexandria Safe Zone.
