Nymeia for Aoife and Alaq'it!

(SO, Rothe sent me this ask like 2 weeks ago and I thought my drafts ate it, but I just found it there again. Thank you for sending it Rothe and I’m sorry this took so long!)

Nymeia, the Spinner10. Does your character believe in fate?

Neither of them really does; Alaq’it doesn’t think that large in scale, and Aoife doesn’t like being told what to do even by regular people.

11. Do you think  your character is lucky or unlucky? What do they think?

I think they’ve both been pretty lucky so far! Alaq’it made it all the way from Othard to Thanalan as a solo-travelling kid without any major incidents, and Aoife somehow gets herself out of hairy situations without any major injury on a regular basis.

(Aoife getting into those incidents in the first place doesn’t count as bad luck because it’s usually her own fault.)

Alaq’it doesn’t think about her own luck much and Aoife generally likes to give even the worst situations a positive spin, so she considers herself pretty lucky.

12. Describe an instance where your character experienced a direct consequence of the ‘butterfly effect’.

Alaq’it’s mom debated on taking her daughter to the East or West coast while they were still roaming, but took a large broken branch pointing East as an omen. Alaq’it thought it was a silly reason but she would probably still be in Othard if it they’d gone East.

Aoife met Enko Namaki because she passed out on the docks where Enko was working, and Enko offered her food in exchange for moving some crates. If Aoife’d been better prepared for visiting Lu in Limsa, she probably wouldn’t have met half of her friends.

To both Lu and Enko’s frustration, Aoife points to this as a justification for general impulsiveness pretty often.

Llymlaen, the Navigator (Aoife) 13. Is there a place they haven’t seen that they wish to see before they die?

Anywhere she hasn’t been yet honestly, but especially places her friends are from (like Othard and Ala Mhigo). Also the Sharlayan mainland, but she’s a bit less likely to admit that out loud.

14. Favorite place in they’ve been to?

Idyllshire and Revenant’s Toll, she’d pick one of those if she had to stay somewhere permanently.

15. How adventurous is your character?

Way more than her lack of melee combat skill justifies, but she’s (mostly) pretty good at keeping herself out of Real Danger (aka, pretty good at “climbing high and fast”).

Althyk, the Keeper (Alaq’it) 34. If they could go back in time, would your character change anything in their past? If so, What?

She isn’t really prone to regret much but sometimes when she’s falling asleep, she wonders if she could’ve done more to convince her mom to come with her to Eorzea.

35.  Does your character live in the moment or do they tend to be stuck in the future/past?

There’s too much going on around her at any point in time for her to dwell on the past much.

36. How does your character kill time?

Studying maps and memorizing landmarks on the ones she can’t read, and poking into any group activity that lets her watch people and ask friends lots of questions!

Azeyma, the Warden (Aoife)25. In general. how curious is your character? 

THE MOST. She’s been really curious ever since she was a kid. Her mom used to trick her into studying by telling her certain books were off-limits for Dangerous Reasons before leaving them in cabinets she conveniently forgot to lock.

26.  Do they mind their own business or are they nosy when it comes to other’s affairs? 

She’s nosy as heck and it’s a problem! It’s a problem she’s working on! (She’s gotten better at being unobtrusive.)

27. Describe a situation where curiosity got them in trouble.

Most Recently, encouraging Mupal Dupal to go through with an inadvisable solution to being turned into a cat, because it sounded interesting. (Except it’s more likely to get Mupal Dupal in trouble than her, as long as she conveniently avoids the Sandsea and maybe her own house and most major cities for a while.)

Llymlaen, the Navigator (Alaq’it)13. Is there a place they haven’t seen that they wish to see before they die?

Everywhere. Alaq’it hasn’t seen a lot of Eorzea yet and she wants to see all the things. If you asked her right now her first response would either be Ishgard or the Sea of Clouds, because of Riskbreakers’ stories.

14. Favorite place in they’ve been to?

Limsa Lominsa, as long as she can stay away from boats.

15. How adventurous is your character?

More than she thinks, but mostly because a lot of things that are considered adventurous are things she grew up around (like travelling and hunting). She does hesitate sometimes when exposed to new things (like fighting people).
