I, personally, don't understand how or why people are disappointed in Lucanis' romance because there 'wasn't enough content'. It was intended to be a slow burn. And as a slow burn I thought it was lovely and perfectly well thought out.

Sweet baby boy just needed to deal with some trauma and a literal demon in his head. Of course, I'm going to give him time and maybe learn to make coffee so I can help feed his addiction, even though what he really needs is a ten hour nap. When he's done, we can offer some soft smooches and go from there.

And let's not forget that he is canonically demi. Boy doesn't even know he's in love until it's too late.
