IMPORTANT UPDATE FROM THE SLOE GIN REVIVAL TEAM
my mom said that for the longest time her passport had purple stains on it because one of her friends drank sloe gin and puked in her purse
white pants bloodbath
i do think it was better than first class nazi-killing notwithstanding mostly because it was a much better period piece and most importantly a 1970s period piece
mixed metals! browns and greens in the mcm manner! gold and brass detailing that references architectural ornament! unexpected ways of aestheticizing handmadeness! wire and wearability in that "I'm a really rich 50+ patroness of the arts underwriting a public project by Alexander Calder, it is 1972" way! overall "furniture you can wear" vibes! saying "oh this? my artist friend in such-and-such city made it for me"!
