recall.
she remembers everyone she’s met, even if they don’t recall.
jinsoul has gotten used to it. eyes that would have once lit up in recognition and greeting now seem to glance her over as they pass by without giving her the time of day. it’s not surprising, given that she looks nothing like her true self - the similarities stop at the blonde hair, which to be fair, is quite a common feature. this is the sacrifice she’s had to make in order to live in safety. she’s had to give up everyone and everything she knew in favour of safety from the worst kind of fear. it’s just sad that it had to happen in a situation that was already far from ideal in a world that was so different from the homelands.
out of the pot and into the fire, so to speak.
so now, she goes by rose. she smiles more, holds her head higher and squares her shoulders and looks at the world without a care in the world - so unlike jinsoul, who always carried heavy stones and darkened eyes. so unlike jinsoul, who was hesitant to care but still found herself giving her heart out anyway. of course no one would recognize her now.
rose flicks her hair to the side, eyes clearly bored and looking for some company or something to do. it’s then that she sees a face recognizable in the crowd, a head taller than most and she almost laughs at how funny it is. hades is still just as tall among mortals now as he was back in the homelands where he was worshipped as the god he is.
she says nothing to him, though. chances are, he’ll just pass her by like everyone else.
━━━ I WANTED TO HURT YOU, @twhxdes but the victory is, i couldn’t stomach it
