If you have not read a book in a while but enjoy QLs - BLs, GLs, & what have you - here is some motivation for you.
I know this is no surprise to a lot of you - but I do think there may be QL watchers who are not QL readers. This PSA is for them.
There are censored QL dramas and uncensored QL dramas. Censored dramas either downplay the gay, throw in a het relationship, or just never confirm the gayness on screen (no actual kissing or verbal declarations of love in the traditional sense). Uncensored QL dramas are blatant in their gayness.
But almost always… these uncensored dramas are still censored dramas. Cause the original sources are often novels. With explicit sex scenes. And that’s fine - we want our dramas to be accessible to the masses, so keeping it NC-17 or Mature or even PG-13 is okay. Censored. Uncensored. Edited Uncensored. There are levels.
But Prosecutor’s Proposal the drama is gonna give you a censored version of this scene:
Whether I read the novels after the show is announced or already airing, it’s still fun. I can read them long after the drama has aired too. Or long before any hint of an adaptation. Cause they won’t be the same. And it’s fun to compare.
If the show is getting you hot and bothered, the books will usually have your jaw on the floor.
I mean… that fluid exchange oral fixation of our prosecutor just never quits, eh?
