((Sometimes for whatever reason we don’t have time to play out the stuff that we just know is going on, somewhere, at some point. I was glad to have an opportunity to check in with a little Shashi/Spensaar bonding, because I imagine this kind of thing happens all the time.))
"It's going to explode."
Shashi said this firmly, and in Draenic, glowing eyes peering across the edge of the table as she shielded herself - at least partially, and not any part of her face that mattered - from the inevitable crazy fireworks.
"Tch. You have so little faith," Spensaar rumbled amiably. His response was in Common, for the benefit of the other company they had in the Warglaive's hold. Despite being too huge for sanity, he manipulated the tiny wires in the machine they were working on with ease. "I'll have you know that our people were using crystals as a power source when the people of this world were still beating on the ground with sticks."
Sitting nearby, not particularly huddled but in no big rush to get up close to the work the large man was doing, Twigette held up a green finger. "I'll have you know that my people were slaving in mines, thank you very much."
Spensaar pondered this for a moment, squinting at the distance..."Fair enough. Anyway! This should go just fine."
It wasn't that Shashi couldn't have handled the upgrades to the Warglaive by herself. Nili had hit on the idea of using Light-infused crystals to hover the ship over the surface of the water in short bursts to gain speed without drag against the hull, and it had fallen to Shashi and Twig to get the upgrades implemented. Crystals were a specialty, especially ones that made things float.
But if it meant that there was an excuse to work together with her father?
"Hah!" Spensaar brought a broad hand down as the array flickered to life, networked crystaline conduits not only lit the two massive crystals on deployable arms, but also infused the lower hull of the ship, humming.
Shashi sprung up from behind the table, cheering. "You're the best!" She declared, having to jump to wrap her arms around her father's neck and hold on, hugging.
"I am the best," he grinned. "Now let me show you how to buffer the relays so that it doesn't...well, explode..."
