So after your newest chapter of TWIGI , I have to ask , will we see Harry turn slightly dark or grey perhaps ? From the things Voldemort is explaining to him and through his own research , I’m assuming he’s going to figure out the ‘light’ isn’t just good and ‘dark’ isn’t necessarily bad ?
this is going to be kind of spoilery, but i feel like we’re close enough to the end right now that i can tease at some stuff 👀 this is so exciting
so, one of the biggest themes i tried to incorporate in twigi is the relativity of morality, and how black/white, good/evil thinking is kind of fundamentally flawed, and that comes through suuuper significantly in part 3. more obviously than anywhere else in the fic.
because harry has basically coped with his entire life by looking at the world through a very distinct, good-vs-evil lens right? dumbledore/light magic/the order/gryffindor is good and voldemort/dark magic/death eaters/slytherin is bad, and part 3 is where he’s really forced to challenge that way of thinking. part of that is due to a shift in harry’s magic like you said, which was really prevalent in part 2, and some of it comes from other plot stuff, but you summed up the theme pretty much perfectly.
twigi has gone through about 17384728 reworks since i started, but harry going dark was always the plan. how exactly that happens has evolved a TON, but writing a dark!harry was literally the drive behind twigi. it’s why i decided to write it. harry was never going to get through this fic as a light wizard
