Midna x G/n reader
Collab with @welovemonstergirls it was so much fun doing this collab. I truly apologize for not responding some days work and all but I hope you had fun.
Extra: G/n, fluff, comedy! Where Midna ends up visiting your place and faces her archenemy in a comedic way.
White... Pure, fluffy white, as far as she could see. It was glistening in the sunlight as she curiously looked around at it. Her S/o had mentioned it to her before... It was... It was...snow...right? Yes, that's what it was called!
“Snow!” Her voice yells out a smile creeping itself onto her face. Snow? What exactly is this snow? It looks soft but what can snow exactly do?
Leaning down, she scooped a handful of the cold white substance into her hand. It was... soft. And comfortably cool to the touch. This weather actually reminded her very much of the perpetual chill that hung throughout her home world, the Twilight Realm. Yes... She decided she liked this 'snow'.
This ‘snow’ gave her a feeling of comfort, almost calling her name to cover her entire body with the pillowy soft cushion of the ‘snow’. With a raise of her hands, she threw the cool snow up into the sky. It broke apart, showering her lightly, the snow glistening, the sun shining on each part of it while it landed softly on her head.
She smiled softly. Yes, this was nice. She liked this a lot. Maybe she would make her s/o take her on a walk along that trail she liked so she could see what it looked like with this new coat of white... She stopped when she saw there was a small patch of clear substance near a ledge. She cocked her head to the side. This was new. She had never seen anything quite like it before. Hmm... Was it soft like snow? Wet like water? Only one way to find out. She stepped forward. And then she immediately realized how little traction it had as she slipped over the icy patch and fell over the ledge with a WHUMP!
Her body became stuck in the snow. Her arms and legs stuck while her face was under the snow. She didn’t feel anything other than the coolness of the ‘snow’ touching her body directly. She starts to struggle to try to pull herself away from the substance, yet every move slowly sunk her. Half her body above ground and all her limbs under the very substance.
From an outside perspective, all one could see was her rear end sticking out from the pile of snow she had landed in, her long robe flopping over onto the ground to expose her completely. Granted, her Twili physiology provided more natural coverage than any human, but that didn't make this any less demeaning! She was a queen for heaven's sake!
“Let me go in an instant!” She desperately cried moving around hoping that this snow understood who she was and moved. But to no avail, the snow stayed put, not moving an inch while she flailed her body. The longer she moved the more her rear end could feel the cool breeze hitting it, starting to cause a bit of shivering.
She growled angrily, then, with some effort, managed to force her hands and feet deep into the mound of snow. They touched solid ground, and with a loud gasp, she forced her upper torso out of the chilly white mound with a loud gasp for air before shaking her head to get the specks of white-out.
She stared at the snow, her lower body still stuck in the snow.
“I don’t like you at all anymore!” She declared using both her hands and pushing down to lift her legs from the snow. With her legs finally out she fixed her robes a bit, trying to look presentable. “You dare try to do that again and I will destroy you.” She spoke to the snow as if it had a life of its own.
She let out a huff and stormed away from the mound she had been trapped in, seething to herself as she walked through the snowy woods. Little did she know, her words may have caused the snow to declare war on her... A war she had simply no chance of ever winning. She walked past another ledge and saw a strange being. It seemed to be made of pure snow, with three snowballs stacked one on top of the other, dark black eyes and a mouth on the face, and wearing a black hat.
With a bit of relief seeing another person she hurried over to see the very figure with a smile on his face and a black hat that suited him. She stood tall above him.
“Finally another person! I’m the Twilight Princess. Is there any more of your kind nearby?” She openly asked. No response from the man. “Excuse me! It is rude to not respond!” She exclaimed, crossing her arms around her chest. Once again no response. The boldness of this man was hard to tolerate. Including the fact that his face had a smile plastered on his face, taunting her.
She scowled and crossed her arms. "You will address me when spoken to, cretin!" She said firmly. Still no response. "EXCUSE me!" Silence. "ANSWER ME!" Dead air. "Ugh! You worthless little... Fine! I didn't wish to speak with the likes of you anyway!" She huffed and turned back the way she came, knowing the way to your home was in the other direction. However, as she moved, a portion of the cliffside crumbled beneath her feet. She yelped as she fell once more.
“Not again!” Her hands tried to grip onto something for support but the very snow she learned to despise prevented her from holding onto anything. The cliff had a branch that her body bounced onto and flew up into the sky. Her screams could be heard, her eyes shut and in a matter of seconds, she no longer felt like she was flying. Her body felt the coolness once more and knew where she was. With her enemy surrounding her. Her legs popped out her robes covering her while she shrugged once more. Wind harshly hit her legs while she pushed around.
After a few moments, she went absolutely still in the snowman, before she felt something land on top of her rear. It was two small objects... followed by a slightly larger, but equally light object.
“You sir are truly the worst!” Her body could feel the coolness of the snow. “You snow are wearing my patience thin. I will destroy you!” Aggravation was clear as ever in her tone. For once her body shivered. “You-you are quite an enemy.” She shuddered.
From the outside, one could see the lower half of a blue-skinned woman sticking out of a snowman, with her rear end covered by coal eyes and a top hat, essentially taking over the role of the snowman's head.
She shakes her body to one side trying to create some sort of motion to fall to the ground. Her body shook to the left. This created the motion to cause the very man who ignored her to collapse onto the ground. She raised her head shaking off the excess snow on her. "This is what you deserve!" She exhaled annoyed while staring at the body of the creature.
She narrowed her eyes at the creature before feeling something attached to her rear. Blinking, she pulled off a small top hat, then narrowed her eyes at it. "And I will be taking this as well! It will make a most suitable trophy to signify my victory!" She declared before storming off, leaving the snowman in a chilly pile with a sad frown made of coal.
She couldn’t help but let a simple laugh out. The victory was quite delicious and though it was small it was still a victory to be remembered. She fixed the hat trying to understand how to properly wear it. She placed it on the side of her head and let it drop. It wasn't a normal hat so she placed it directly onto her head, the weight being off but nonetheless she wouldn’t remove it until she sees her s/o again. To show off what she manages in this strange world.
She continued walking, her stride smug and proud despite the humiliation of earlier. Eventually, she came to the top of a hill. Stepping forward, she looked down the slope. This was the same hill the both of them would have picnics on. Now frosted over and pure white. Before she could dwell on it, however, the snow under her feet shifted slightly...enough so to send her sliding down the slippery slope on her feet. She yelped and tried to regain her balance, but by the time she reached the bottom, she ended up crashing again.
At this point, her body started to feel the pains of the snow. Direct contact wasn’t the best and in the end, she had to feel her body trying to warm up a bit. She could no longer see and her body was once more encased in her archenemy. She pushed her legs out and the air hit her legs.
“I no longer like this place.” She shuddered, her legs out trying to gain some sort of footing.
Her legs flailed about in the air violently as she tried to find something, anything, to give her some sort of leverage to push herself out. From an outside perspective, it looked like her legs were being used as a pair of arms for the middle snowball. After several minutes of flailing, she eventually flung her legs downward and managed to press them against the bottom snowball.
Her lower body was clear as daylight while the breeze once more made her want to cover up a bit more. The weather started to be almost unbearable while her behind was out for all to see. She used her legs and kicked the snow off her and was able to release her lower torso.
“One more push.” Her legs shook while moving once more and with her arms, she pushed her body up from the ground. She gasped for air and raised her hands to rub her arms.
Then she let out an indignant huff and rolled her eyes as she saw that another snowman was what had trapped her. "Another one of YOUR kind, I see. Well, I'll just have to teach you a lesson, won't I?" With a snap of her fingers, the snowman exploded in a cloud of dark twilight magic, sending its pieces scattering every which way, prompting her to smirk.
“Simply, I must worry about them. They seem to creep up even in the shadows. Yet again they are easy to deal with.” She laughed, throwing her hat up and catching it placing it once again into her head. She walked down the snowy trail with a pep in her step for her accomplishments, this world couldn’t possibly have anything more surprising to her at all.
She continued the journey to your home, still managing to feel proud of herself in spite of her misfortunes. That was something y/n always did admire about her, her unwavering confidence even in the face of embarrassing situations. Midna continued her trek through the fluffy white powder when her foot caught a small root underneath the snow. The unexpected contact caused her to jump back. What if it was one of those creatures trying to strike once more?! She would not be caught off guard again! She would destroy it before it could attack! She engulfed her fist in shadow energy, and she dove down into the snow to destroy the emerging monster!
At that very moment, she realized she made a minor mistake.
“Snow is everywhere.” She pouted, she firmly placed her feet on the ground with a bit of wiggling of her bottom half. Springing out she sat on the snow and hit away a bit of it.
“You creatures stay back! I will attack the moment you decide to show yourself.”
She rose back to her feet and narrowed her eyes. "They're ruthless little bastards..." She muttered, walking through the snow and keeping a close eye on any potential threats that may rise up. She no longer enjoyed this powder. It was a clear and obvious threat to her, it actively wished to do her harm, and she was onto it. She would have none of it! She was so focused on the snow that she didn't notice the patch of ice overlooking the large cliff until she slipped off it and went sailing through the air at breakneck speeds until a tree came into her line of sight...
She closed her eyes and hit the tree. This time it wasn’t her enemy it was a new rival.
“I hope you aren’t alive like those creatures and that snow.” She muttered it was extremely dark, her body preventing any light from getting into the hole she was stuck in.
She looked around, trying to figure out her position. She felt hard rough bark around her midsection, and the lower half of her body still felt the bitter cold chill of the wind blowing against it... It didn't take long for her to realize she was stuck headfirst in one of the trees, her legs and butt dangling limply in the air as her feet wiggled feebly before pressing themselves against the tree.
Though she couldn’t see how she looked from behind, one creature did. A moose did and during the hardest moments of the year, he wouldn’t allow someone to step into his territory. Midna tried her hardest to get out, but the harsh bark held onto her robes preventing her from getting out.
Eventually, her feet discovered something directly beneath her. It was a small hollow hole in the tree! All she had to do was try to squeeze herself into it as much as she could and she would be safe from that awful smelly creature! With a grunt of exertion, she swung her long legs down and set to contorting herself into the hole the best she could. She managed to get her legs in... But she couldn't quite get in all the way.
The very beast stood there staring at her as she tried to wiggle herself into the hole. The beast stared at her. She couldn’t help but think that this very land was not for the faint of heart.
“I don’t think I’ll be coming back.” She placed one hand into the hole and tried to fit the rest in.
She pressed on her butt with all her might, but it just wouldn't fit. She heard the scuffing of hooves and began trying to get herself in even more frantically. "No, get away, get away you filthy-looking overgrown horse, get away!" Her screaming was all for naught as the sound of approaching hoof steps grew louder, and louder, and louder until finally, she felt the impact with her rear end.
She felt her rear end sting the pain hurting. Her body was still stuck deep in the hole.
“I will not tolerate this.” She let out, for once the pain she was feeling was extreme. Unlike the falls being a slight sting, the pain from that horrible beast hurt.
She didn't have much chance to do anything about it, however, as she felt the impact come a second time. This time, it was powerful enough to send her flying right out of the tree, clean through the top and high into the sky.
“I WILL NEVER COME BACK!” She screamed out loud. Midna made sure to put a mental note to never come back unless y/n were to travel with her. The snow and the creatures seemed to dislike her. Though she was stuck in her head the way she was flying up suddenly caught her attention once more. Her body fell instead of flying up.
She blinked upon noticing she was now descending towards the snowy earth below, and before she had time to process this face, she landed headfirst into the snow with a loud muffled 'WHUMP!' Her upper torso was lodged in the snow, her legs sticking out, knees facing in opposite directions as her feet were pressed firmly together.
This was it. She truly gained an enemy in the short amount of time in this realm. She wiggled from the snow, this being perhaps the fourth time in snow, maybe more. She lost count. This snow called for her and she had to fight it every step she took.
Luckily enough, when she popped free from her frigid prison, she came to see that her s/o's house was where she had landed. She sighed in relief and rushed for the front door, eager to get out of this cold hell and put this miserable day behind her already.
Her feet stumbled dashing towards the door. It was finally over. This miserable place will no longer be a challenge. They were gonna travel with her if she decides to leave the home. Which from the struggle most likely wouldn’t. She could take a hint and that hint was that the snow didn’t like her.
She knocked on the door... and as soon as she did so, a pile of snow fell from the rooftop and landed directly on top of her, burying her under the cold white once again. Her eyes opened up from under the snow and blinked owlishly as the door opened up for her s/o to see her.
“Get this snow off of me! This is an order!” She yelled out. The sound of her s/o laughing gently. She struggled to move a bit pushing snow away from herself.
“I’m quite surprised you are here.” Her s/o admits and she groans.
“I’ll explain just get me out of this!”She heard s/o chuckling and felt the snow being removed from her person bit by bit until eventually, she was able to pop her upper half out of the mound with an over dramatic gasp for air. She shook some snow out of her orange hair and narrowed her eyes in anger and frustration. "This white powder is the scum of your world and it deserves to be destroyed."
“The snow?” They questioned and Midna only nodded with frustration clear as day. “Don’t worry, this snow… will melt away in a couple of months.” They reached their hand out to help pull her out. Quickly she held onto her s/o hands.
“That is good. When it does I’ll visit again to stomp on their graves.” Her s/o laughed, holding onto her hand, letting go of her in the process. Her s/o held their stomach laughing hard, there sat Midna in the white powder upset written on her face.
She looked up at y/n, then slowly rose to her feet. "I have had quite enough of this for one day! I request to be taken inside posthaste!" She declared firmly. Y/n bowed playfully.
"Your wish is my command, your highness." Once Midna steps foot into the small house the warmth engulfs her. Though small the house gave off a pleasant feeling for just a second making her forget about the tortures of the outside world.
“Your highness, would you like something to drink?” Her s/o continued to play around and she could care less.
“For a matter of fact, I do.” She calmly answers, still staring at her surroundings. “This is a nice home…”
Y/n came back with a mug of dark liquid. She stared at it with a raised brow. "This shade of brown is most concerning." She sniffed. "And yet the scent is quite tantalizing... What is this?" S/o smiled.
"It's hot cocoa. A perfect drink for a cold day like this."
“I see…” She mumbled, inside she felt warm from the small gesture, it made her feel strange, a feeling she yet had time to face. With a small shake of her head, she glanced around, “I am in need of a seat.” She demands and her S/o grabbed her one hand that did not hold the mug, causing her to flinch and the feeling inside grow.
It was strange. This was such a simple prospect that had been done for her numerous times by servants. A drink and seat, that was all. Yet something about her s/o doing it felt so... genuine and caring, especially after the living hell she had just been through outside in the cold white powder.
“Why are you here? Not saying I dislike it.” Her s/o chuckled lightly whilst Midna sat on the soft seat.
“There is no need to tell you.” Y/n simply bowed their head understanding to not pry the very women. When she states something it’ll be a waste of time to try and change her mind.
“Understandable your majesty.” Midna lifted the mug to her lips and sipped the enticing drink allowing the silence to grow. She enjoyed the silence with her s/o yet once again she would never let them know.
