Best friends Violet Parr and Hiro Hamada go on their first mission together
With the resurgence of superheroes, it was time for the younger generation to start going out on their own to handle threats. Because they were already close friends, Violet and Hiro were sent to handle a newer bad guy trying to make a name for himself.
"You okay, Vi? You look nervous." Hiro asked, seeing Violet fumbling with her hair.
"Yeah," she replied, "I'm okay." Although she'd helped her family take down some of the biggest villains they'd faced in a long time, it was different being away from them and she felt a bit nervous.
Baymax offered his services in relieving some of her anxiety. She initially refused, but did some breathing exercises with him for a brief moment to help ease her a bit.
Thankfully the mission was straight forward: inside sources indicated that the villain would be using his powers to try to rob one of the biggest banks in town. All they had to do was stop him while keeping the civilians safe.
Once the bank's alarm was triggered, they hurried in. Hiro did much of the fighting, keeping the thief distracted while Violet shielded the patrons and escorted them to safety. Between her, Hiro, and Baymax they managed to subdue him with no injuries to any civilians, and most of the structural damage to the building being cosmetic in nature.
They handled the fanfare afterward together; the thanks from the citizens and interviews from local news stations. When they got a moment of peace, they gave each other a knowing smile and Hiro raised his hand to give Violet a high five.
"No, we did great. I'm glad you were here with me, Hiro."
"Yeah, me too. Couldn't have done it without you."
