Just finished yet another Twilight saga rewatch(I’ve lost count of what number this is) bc Im back on my Jamie Campbell Bower shit, and I find it absolutely hilarious that almost every other member of the Volturi has special gifts, and then Caius’ only ability is being a mega bitch.
Like he just gets the preset vampire powers, and then he’s also evil for the love of the game. And Aro was like “you know what? I love this kid’s vibe, lets make him one of the heads of this place :D!” I MEAN LOOK AT HIM!!:

"Twilight love story is so fucked up... " That's because it's not a love story.
What we see in first 2 movies isn't two people falling in love.
Bella didn't fall for Edward. She saw how strong and beautiful he was and she became obsessed with wanting to become that. She didn't want to be WITH him, she wanted to BE him.
And when that dream got ripped away, it hurt. Compound that with her reliving the trauma of losing her dad - voila, severe depression.
Edward didn't fall for Bella. He craved the humanity he'd lost. He despised what he was. He was depressed his entire vampire life, and latched onto Bella as his lifebuoy. So when he thought he lost her, he drowned. He gave up.
By saving Edward Bella resolved both her issues - she rewrote the scenario of past loss AND she proved to herself she's strong and valuable.
Being saved by Bella proved to Edward he actually is worth loving and sacrificing for. That what he is now is ok. He's OK.
THAT'S where their love story actually starts - AFTER Volterra. From then on, it's just a normal love story, with two people who figure out relationship and marriage and family as they go along. It's just condensed and sped up.
Edward can’t actually read minds. Alice and Emmett just move into the towns early and pay the people there thousands of dollars to whisper weird thoughts aloud and the reason he “can’t read” Bella’s mind is because she moved partway through the year and Edward met her before his siblings could pay her off.
Charlie and Garrett are the green flags in the twilight saga, you can't change my mind.
