WHO ARE WE, WHAT WE ARE
Have you ever fawned over SDCC and all the wondrous cosplays that it draws in every time? Have you ever craved for your beloved Twin Cities to be host to rad parties and not be the boring stereotype they’re known to be? (Well, one of the Twins has some pretty rad parties…) Have you ever wanted to morph into your favourite character, raise thy weapon, and declare thyself the ruler of thine party? Have you been living under a rock the past two years? Well look no further! We present to you, TWINCON! Connecting fans to fandoms. The first ever ComicCon-style event hosted in the twin cities; where you can let your inner weeb, otaku, anime fan and/or gamer completely free! With two events already under our belt, we look to make the third one, the biggest the country has ever seen!... YET!
Twincon was conceived as an idea, one that could change the world, and went on to forge its path toward just that goal. A band of young geniuses brought together the might of their thoughts, and came forth with an event that would change the map of the Twin Cities, forever (not literally, that’d require one hell of a NoC to be issued). It was like the summoning of Captain Planet, but a lot more badass. As the tag line says, its aim is to bring fans closer to their fandoms, by providing a platform where they can freely express their love for the shows and games they’re passionate about.
With a booming success so far, we at Twincon are striving for even greater excellence, and nothing short of the best. While we have participated in and organized events aside from conventions, such as ‘The Walking Dead: Meanwhile in Pakistan’, and ‘Cosplay for a Cause’, and shall continue to do so, the need of the time is to focus on organizing the biggest event of 2016; we shall soon be presenting to you, Twincon 3/Twincon ’16 (Twincon 3:16? Yes? No? Copyrights? Ok L).
We are extremely devoted to the cause, and fully dedicated to making it not just a reality, but a resounding success. (We even do 100 pushups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and run 10km, every single day). So on the 28th of February, gear up for the event of the year, and join as at Twincon ‘16!
