Holly's cousin always looked odd whenever they mentioned their more mystical affinities. At first, she looked briefly sympathetic, before that quickly shifted into one of what looked like a mixture of annoyance and perturbation, before ultimately it seems to take on something more akin to exasperation.
A quiet sigh, as Tabitha gestured vaguely in the air, as if the words she said next were utterly mundane and concise.
"Deja vu is a common sensation, Holly. Everyone has it. There's nothing strange about it." Tabitha surmised, gaze turning toward the window to their side.
Pointedly, not at Holly, as she continued.
"Maybe you just fantasized about another life because..." her voice drifted away, a touch distant, as she gave another vague wave of her hand, "...well, we both know neither of ours are particularly enviable."
To most, that sort of statement would almost seem laughable. The richest woman in Scarlet Hollow, who to many just sat around and bossed the miners around, was complaining about how hard she had it. A woman of such pedigree and wealthy upbringing bemoaning her station would have earned scorn from most.
A sentiment that Tabitha was more than aware of.
Tabitha's body began to shrink into itself, shoulders hunched in as she visibly winced. The topic was undoubtedly something she seemed to dislike addressing, even if she was willing to discuss it in some capacity with Holly despite that. The benefits of a stronger bond, perhaps?
Either way, Tabitha seemed agitated, despite her capacity to rein her bemusement in.
