Security Breach (part 1): A Timely Reunion ≻ @twinsabered liked for a starter.
Moving at a swift jog, Obi-wan weaved in and out of cover. Fire descended from on high, and while most of them never reached the surface, the ones that did were dangerous. He was still looking for wires to cut, having come from the desert of Cotes ward to get here. The blinking indicator on his map showed he was getting close to one of the holes.
Boom!
A ball of flame the size of a speeder slammed into a building just up the street. The shockwave shook the area and the building began to crumble. Large chunks of flaming debris came crashing towards the street. There was someone underneath the structure, already moving out of the way, but with how fast it was crumbling, they wouldn’t be out in time.
Obi-wan didn’t need to weigh his options, sprinting forward towards the catastrophe and throwing both hands out in front of him. The debris was flung into the front of another building, the change of course slowing it enough so it didn’t cause nearly as much harm as the original impact and the second structure remained standing.
With relief, he straightened his posture, pushing hair that had fallen into his face back. He eyed the remains of the flaming building as he approached the person who had very nearly become smoldering mush. ❝ That was a close call. Are you al-- ❞
Halted mid-sentence, Obi-wan now clearly saw who it was who was also out here in such dangerous conditions. While he was surprised to see her at all, he couldn’t say he was surprised that this was the kind of place he would find her. There’s a tension, accompanied by the sound of something smaller crumbling behind them. Not nearly the tension he’d met her with years before, considering everything that had happened--was happening...
❝ Ahsoka... ❞
