Have anyone else stoped to think about Yuu, Ace, Deuce and Grimm trauma?

Remember when Yuu, Ace, Deuce and Grimm went to that Snow White's dwarfs mine? So, I don't know if this was explained in detail at some point in the game, because my Japanese isn't that good, but anyway. I really believe that the ink monster is the result of an overblot that has not stopped in time and such.

Now imagine the trauma of the group after they made the connection between the overblots appearance and the black stones that is left behind after the blot is dealt with.

Because like, they killed the monster (if I got it right), so imagine them understanding that the monster was a person, and that they killed someone. Even if that person no longer could be be saved, it is likely that this will still have a very strong impact on the group.

EDIT: The ink monster is not a person, thankfully. It is called Phantom and is the negative emotions of the dead overbloted wizard

Twisted 28 - Extra Scene 1

So, this week we’re having extra scenes instead of sneak peeks, and here’s the first one my loves! I hope you will like it! 

Spencer had been to many hospital bathrooms before, but never once in his life had he stood there, covered in his girlfriend’s blood.

The constant noise of the running water was something to focus on, at least. Something other than the mind numbing fear, something other than the metallic taste at the back of his throat-

Something other than the very high possibility of her not making out of the O.R.

He was a man of science, he had seen multiple agents and victims die on cases with injuries much less serious than hers.

“Reid?”

Spencer lifted his head and wiped at his nose with the back of his arm, the sight of dried blood on his hands making his stomach flip before Luke pushed open the door.

“Hey man,” he stepped in slowly, eyes focused on Spencer half slouched over the sink, his head low. “You need anything?”

He shook his head, eyes still fixed on the sink.

“You need to get cleaned up,” Luke said, “Her um…. Mina’s wife and kid are coming, you don’t want them to see you like this.”

“Who called them?” Spencer rasped out and Luke shifted his weight.

“Mina.”

The last time Spencer saw Mina, which had to be half an hour before now that he thought about it, she could barely breathe through sobs let alone make a phone call.

“Okay,” he murmured, and Luke took a deep breath.

“Reid, she’s going to make it.”

Spencer tried to swallow the lump in his throat and clenched his fists in an attempt to stop the shaking, but it was no use.

“The bullet went through her chest, Luke,” he managed to say, “Concussion, blood loss, broken ribs—“

“Don’t go there.”

“You know what could happen,” he said, “You’ve seen it on the field. You’ve seen it with victims.”

For the first time in many years, something to numb his mind and take the pain away didn’t sound like such a bad idea and the itch-

That itch was way too familiar.

Anything to stop the agony.

“Hey,” Luke clasped his shoulder as if he could read his mind, “Reid, listen to me. That girl in there? She clawed her way out of hell without even needing our help. All by herself. She’s not a victim, and you know that as much as I do. She is going to make it.”

▪︎ sprout often comes off as rude or overly truthful. Hes too preoccupied with his role to really care how he comes off — just saying whatever he needs to to get his point across. A few toons despise him due to this [canon-adjacent i believe]

▪︎ twisted Astro , Ginger , and Glisten are mildly humane still. Glisten's a given because he's only half twisted, ginger due to her attention span (i like to think she follows toons for so long because she recognizes them, but isnt still human enough to actually like. React) and Astro because of his twisted like. Explanation or wtv. Theres a drawing hc post too that i agree with, but in my own personalized version of it: he feels guilt because he knows that Dandy is pretty much a main cause behind this, and he feels that being childhood friends with him and all, that he could've stopped this. The ichor drinking is to save any other toons from getting hurt by it. I also think hes more human because unlike the other main twisteds he has a lot of like. Emotion sfx. Crying, laughing, humming, etc etc. Anyways

▪︎ back to hc one. The main toons in question who dislike sprout are astro , dandy , and glisten. The first two are self explanatory but Glisten just feels like he'd be a better main / a more kind main

▪︎ also im a firm teagan/rodger divorce truther . Toodles is the child of divorce and glisten is the babysitting "neighbor" (totally,,,)

Twisted 28 - Extra Scene 2

For the first time in a long time, his mind felt like some sort of an old TV static.

Spencer thought maybe it was a good thing that he couldn’t think. The only thing in head was a numb shock instead of the agony that seemed to torture him with the flashes of her lying there, with a bullet wound on her chest.

If she were there, she would give him hell for being outside in this cold.

He was so lost in his thoughts that he hadn’t even realized Mina coming closer until she sat beside him on the bench, then offered him a cigarette.

Spencer had never noticed it before because they didn’t exactly look alike, but anyone who was paying attention could tell that they sisters. Same gestures, same body movements, the same stance even when they were sitting down; back straight, eyes forward.

“Mom was the one who taught me and Mina how to walk in heels,” she had told him once, “How to sit, how to walk, how to do anything. Sometimes it’s like looking in the mirror.”

“I found it in her apartment,” she rasped out, her voice still weak because of sobs, and Spencer paused for a moment before he took a cigarette from the pack she was holding, and turned the cigarette in his hand.

It was a strange way to feel closer to her, but at this point he would take anything.

“Why aren’t you inside?” Spencer asked slowly and Mina shrugged.

“I can’t stay there,” she said, “It smells like…”

Death. Desperation. Pain.

“A hospital,” Mina said, “I fucking hate hospitals.”

Spencer wiped at his eyes, trying to swallow the lump in his throat.

“It’s my fault.”

Mina turned to look at him, “Hm?”

“I held her in the line of fire,” the sentence left his lips in a haste, “I-when I first saw her, I hugged her. I should’ve ensure her safety first, I should’ve-I should’ve considered the possibility of a shooter, we’d heard gunshots before we reached there, I should’ve known there could be someone in the woods other than her—“

“And I should’ve kept an eye on her last night,” Mina cut him off, “Trust me, as tempting as it is to blame you right now, I can’t. Everyone in that waiting room has regrets, you’re not the only one.”

Spencer tried to ignore the itch at the back of his mind and rubbed at his arm right above his vein, right where he could-

Don’t go there.

“Her heart stopped twice,” he murmured, “On the way here, back in the helicopter.”

Mina averted her eyes, blinking back the tears before lighting a cigarette.

“I’ve been thinking,” she said, huffing out the smoke, “What am I going to say to Lily?”

“She’s still in the O.R.” Spencer forced himself to say, desperate to convince himself along with her, “She’s not—“

Gone.

He couldn’t even bring himself to say it, he just gripped his arm tighter, clenching his teeth.

“I know,” Mina’s voice was almost inaudible, “But I can’t stop thinking about it. If I…if she can’t, you know? What am I going to say? We’ve never had that talk because we didn’t have to, she’s too—“ she paused and Spencer frowned.

“What is it?”

“Lily is five years old.”

Even through the numbness, Spencer’s mind connected the pieces together.

“John’s training,” he murmured, “It started when she turned five, right? She—she told me that.”

Mina twirled the cigarette between her fingers, “I bet dad didn’t think it was too early for the death speech, huh?” she mumbled, “Jesus Christ, this is some fucking irony. Back then I failed to protect my sister from that, now I’m failing to protect my kid from this.”

“It’s not your fault,” Spencer managed to say, “If something—she doesn’t— she wouldn’t blame you. Lily wouldn’t either.”

“Lily will wonder where her aunt is,” Mina said, “And what am I going to say? That somebody shot her and we’re not even sure if she will wake up or not? How do you explain that to a five year old?”

Spencer sniffled and heaved a shaky sigh.

“How do you explain that to yourself?” he asked and Mina stared at him for a couple of seconds, then took a drag of the cigarette.

“Yeah,” she murmured, “How do you, really?”
