"Settle down in there, dear."
No! I can't let you hurt them!
"Hush. They're almost here."
Hunter and Luz arrive at the cemetery.
"So, did you find what you saw?" Luz asks.
"No," you - Belos - answer. "It was nothing."
He tilts his head as Luz and Hunter look for the rebus.
Stop!
Spoilers under cut 8U Episode is still too new BP
Why are you doing this?! Don't hurt them!
"You'll understand soon enough..." he whispered, glancing over his-your- shoulder to see the two searching the graveyard. A small ball of light caught his attention and a smirk spread across his face. Your face. "There..."
As he started stalking toward Luz, you tried harder and harder to stop him and take over but to no avail. You would have screamed yourself hoarse.
Luz! LUZ! Run! You and Hunter! RUN! GET AWAY FROM HERE! LUZ!
"They can't hear you..."
"Hm?" Luz glanced back, looking tired and defeated. "Did you say something Padrino?"
"I saw that, Luz... Your magic..."
She watched you approach her, her eyes widening as the antlers grew from each side of your head, your hands becoming familiar green claws. Belos' voice was more prominent now as he spoke. You listened to him monologue and as it was winding down, you saw where it was going. He was going to-!
LUZ!
Luz, traumatized by the fact Belos had been possessing you, wouldn't have moved in time to miss his claws if it weren't for Hunter tackling her to the side. This resulted in him being snatched by the throat and held high in the air.
"You useless waste of skin. I should have put more effort into hunting you down," Belos sneered. Luz coming back, using her magic to attack forced him back.
"Let him go! Let Y/N go! Now!"
Belos glanced at Hunter and then at her with an amused smirk.
"Okay."
He turned and yeeted Hunter into the nearby water, knowing full well the clone couldn't swim. Luz let out a scream and tried to attack again but kept pulling back last minute. Belos taunted her about not being able to harm her godparent as he reached into a spot near where he saw Luz's magic become stronger and pulled out a vial of Titan's Blood just as the Hexsquad rushed up on the other side of the deep moat.
"There it is..."
Luz yelled for her mother, telling her what happened to Hunter which caused her to dive into the water to get him.
"Why are you wasting human life to save a Grimwalker?" Belos sighed as Flapjack tried attacking his antlers only to be grabbed and dealt with swiftly. He closed his eyes upon hearing you scream in anguish, matching Luz's. "Honestly, it's only a magic wooden bird. It's not like it was real."
This was the last straw, causing the Hexsquad to attack, each one calling out to you as they made a pass and tried to appeal to you to take over. You could hear each and every one of them and feel Vee's attempt at removing him from you. This gave you some leeway and you found a spot to break free.
"Stop... Hurting... My kids..." you growled, pulling your arms to you, hugging yourself tightly to keep him from lashing out at them. Your eyes flashed your normal color through his blue as you forced yourself to your knees. If your body couldn't move, he couldn't do any more damage.
"Y/N!" Luz gasped. "Fight him! Don't let him win!"
Several voices joined hers and you glanced up in time to see Camila bring Hunter to the surface. You couldn't watch the whole thing. You felt Belos' stronger grasp pull you back.
"No! You're not getting away from me! I won't let you go again!" Belos snarled, snatching up the vial.
It was as if your inner self was fighting back against Belos'.
What are you doing?! YOU'RE MINE! You're not allowed to refuse me!
I... won't... let... you...! GET... OUT...!
No matter how hard you fought, he easily overpowered you and forced you to lose consciousness.
Seeing your body go limp a moment, your head hanging down with your eyes closed, Luz carefully approached you.
"Padrino?"
Your body suddenly took a large inhale and lifting your head, Luz found Belos' eyes staring back, causing her to scramble back quickly. Belos, panting heavily, looked down at your clawed hands before clenching them and standing.
"That was close..." he murmured before paying Luz a glare, turning and throwing the vial at the top of the arch behind you. The liquid dripped on the ground and everyone watched as it became a doorway to the Boiling Isles. "This is for the good of your souls. You will thank me later..."
Luz's eyes widened in horror as Belos, still in control of you, backed into the door and disappeared.
"Y/N!"
