bowery electric -- empty words (twisted science mix)
Twisted Science: “Magma Hum” (Blown, Lo Recordings 1999)
As Twisted Science, Jon Tye always operated in the furthest outskirts of drum & bass — remember when “breakcore” wasn’t a thing yet and “drill & bass” was the name often applied to the most spastic and coarse offshoots of the genre? Twisted Science always betrayed even that description, always unpredictable in his combination of extreme noise, distortion, beatmaking, atmospheres, and sound mangling.
Head racking collision
The following takes place between 4PM and 6PM. Events unfolded in real time.
*Class where the objective is to see how effective the given instructions for a board game make it easy for the user to assemble and play it.*
*Moments in the beginning, when Yazan is distracted by one of the fancy cards*
Yazan: Man, this owns!
*Following far deeper into time when they reached the tipping point*
Aamir: Man, the war on Iraq was shorter than this [board] game.
*Still going far deeper, as Varun vents his frustration but Yazan steps into the picture*
Yazan: Dude, why don't these games come with boards?
*Ending in the near climatic finale...or not, as they still haven't finished building it*
Aamir: Professor, is this game offered as a 9 unit course? (A reference to the Business seniors' class known as "Management Game")
