I received an email from Ragdoll Records alerting me to their new release - Cronies "Demo". The Bandcamp page had a great line: "This band has broken up four times so get it now and get it quick!"
Listening to first song "rose" I immediately thought of Royal Headache. The third song "MSG Cocktail" had an Art Brut kind of vibe to it. For a more current band comp, look no further than Twisted Teens or any project from CPN Hollywell. Finally, there's a definite 70s/Iggy and the Stooges swagger/ready to implode feel here.
I tried to find out where the band is from. I ran across Ragdoll Records' Instagram page and it said the band was from "somewhere in the USA" (I later found out they're from Jacksonville, Florida). So there you go.
TWISTED TEENS, is fucking awesome, love their vibe reminds me of my own look on some days, cool shit.
