Rodger met his twisted counterpart after striking a deal to trade research. Later on Rodger feels it understood him a lot more than the other toons when it came to how he was isolated by his nosy behavior.

Originally it was professional, a bit toxic. But after Rodger feels this strange way, they treat eachother more intimately eventually the two get together in secret <3

If Rodger gets too focused to the point it hurts him. Twisted Rodger steps in. They both look out for eachother when their obsessions break safety.

Twisted Rodger himself depended on Rodger too. To feed him information. But also secretly to help him stay sane since he's litterally a twisted in a bottle💔. After the two get close he also felt appreciated, and not needing to stay inside the shell of his downfall.
