twistedcrowns au...

I saw 2 posts about twistedcrowns (third lifeRen x empiresJoey) and now i'm obsessed... but i also love treebark so why not combine the two?

The basis of the au is that empires characters are pirates, while life series characters are royals! (I've only watched a few life series POVs so I don't have a lot of ideas for them other than the ones I've watched -_-)

Joey's the Captain of his ship, the Ender Pearl. His crew narrowly escaped an encounter with their enemy, Skeletron. While they escape alive and uninjured, their ship ends up severely damaged. They end up having to dock in a hidden cove near the kingdom of Dogwarts, which is good since they need supplies to fix their ship.

Their reputation preceeds them however, as they are offered a job by a strange group called the 'Watchers'. Joey and Shrub go to meet them in a tavern, planning on rejecting the job, but the Watchers threaten to expose their location to Skeletron. They have no other choice than to accept, since their ship is still damaged.

The Watchers want them to sneak into the ball King Ren is hosting, and somehow steal a series of documents from his office. The Watchers refuse to tell Joey and Shrub what they want those documents for, or what they even are.

It turns out the ball was hosted so that King Ren could find a suitor. And that said King despises pirates with a passion. The crew ends up disguising themselves as noblemen and women to sneak inside. Both with normal disguises, and some magic glamour to hide their less common hybrid traits.

Joey disguised himself as a noblelady, planning on pretending to faint and being taken to another room of the Castle. However, once he arrives to the ballroom, him and his crew are very quickly distracted by their dancing partners.

The King's hand, Martyn, immediately notices Joey's glamour, and decides to dance with him, followed by Ren afterwards.

Accidentally, Joey & co. agree to stay at the castle as one of Ren's suitors. Pros? Easier to sneak around and find the documents. Cons? Joe's crew disguised themselves as nobles at the party and as servants/nights afterwards- and they danced with some important people, who could recognize them.

Also, Joe is not a girl. He is not human. And he now has to hide those two facts for as long as he stays at the castle. Said castle is ruled by a King who despises pirates due to the 'death' of his sister.

I have a lot more stuff for this au!! i love it sm its so fun.
