.: > a disgusting mirror image For a moment, the king of liars had f r o w n e d . that alone was something he hadn't done since he devolved into the state he was in now. However, the frown passed and became a wretched grin once again and he tried to think of words to say to the other. Out of all the choice lies, it was at this time that he chose to simply ask a question, simple as could be but also not expecting the truth in response. It was a short, three word sentence. " aRe YoU mE~? " the other did look like how he remembered himself before all this. but then again, memories were laced to the point of no recognition with lies.
" H-Harold...? " It was late, and there wasn't any guarding to do tonight, right? So why was he up? Gently tugging his sleeve, he looked up. " C-Couldn't sleep, either...? "
Some Other You
Send me "Some Other You" and I'll introduce you to an AU version of my character!
“Hey mister! Hey mister!" The young boy called out as he animatedly bounced on his heels, trying to garner for the your attention. His smile grew even wider once he was able to see that he was finally able to successful have your attention on him. "Do you have a minute or two to spare for a bit?”
You ask him why, and also remember to add that kids shouldn’t be walking up to go talk to random strangers so openly. The child only laughs, he says that he knows for a fact that you don’t mean any harm, so there’s nothing to be afraid about.
How would he even know, especially since he has only just started talking to you? “I have good intuition." He would reply. But it would only cause you to raise an eyebrow.
Before you can inquire anything else or try to shake him off, he already opens his mouth.”Hey mister, what you look up at the sky at night, what do the stars mean to you?”
…You don’t even bother trying to pretend that you understand what the heck he’s talking about.
His smile slips into a more contemplative look, his eyes begin to slip into a pensive train of thought now that he has to be prompted into explaining himself.
“You see," He said as he began his exposition. "I finished reading ‘The Little Prince’, and it got me wondering. At the last chapter, the narrator and the prince were saying their goodbyes.." The boy brought his hands together, small digits from each hand lightly leaning upon one another. "..because they both had to go return home." The hands were then motioned apart, his own makeshift demonstration of showing that the two characters had to separate. "But the narrator didn’t want to say goodbye to his friend, but the prince started talking about the stars." He pointed up to the sky, despite the fact that it was still the middle of the day, much too soon to even be close to the evening.
He then started using his hands to start making a list, counting off each group mentioned in the book one by one. “To travelers, they’re guides. To scholars, they’re problems. To other people, they’re just tiny lights in the sky. But the stars meant something completely different to the narrator and the prince in comparison." He stretched his arms out from side to side up in the air, as if he was showing you a grand spectacle for all to see. "To the narrator, he would have stars that he could laugh with in place of the prince in good and bad times, to the prince, he would have stars that would be fresh water!”
His arms dropped back down to his sides, at least until he withdrew them to be folded behind his back. “So, would that be different for everyone else? And if so, just how different would those answers be? That’s why I want to know." When you ask him why should all of this even matter to him, he answers back that it’s of ‘the utmost important of things to know!’. So by then, you’ve all but given up on trying to make any sense of the child. He was just a pretty weird kid. It was to your relief that his mother finally found him, apologized to you, and whisked him away to wherever it is that they’re supposed to be going before he could bother you any longer.

★: a wish my muse has
He’d like to be able to travel around the world with everyone when he’s older some day.
By then, he’d would’ve liked it if Teacher was awake by then, so that Teacher could carry out his promise of showing him around then.
☑: something my muse has accomplished that they’re proud of
I have no idea. He’s too humble to become proud of much about himself.
I suppose if there was something he’d be proud of, it’d be being able to finish reading something really long in one sitting with no breaks, without accidentally dozing off.
→: is my muse any good with directions?
He has a decent sense of direction, he may get lost here and there, but he’s able to get to the places that he needs to go.
Just don’t give him a map, since he’s bad at reading them.
☃: does my muse like the holidays?
It’s a bittersweet opinion, more or less. It leans more to a ‘yes’, at least as long as no one starts bringing up memories about their families.
