I got completely wrapped up in the masterful work of horror that is Twisting Nightmares by @brokenstar-s
to be completely honest? I'm not a horror fan! it's not my cup of tea to be freaked out before I go to bed, HOWEVER! the amount of detail and care that went into the world building, the rampant fluctuation of emotions between every single character and just how down to earth it was, and how the realistic and intense pacing that made you feel like you were with Legend and the rest of the chain as they tried so SO desperately to escape!!! weaponizing the strengths of the corrupted against the survivors as well was the chefs kiss that I desperately needed to see when most fics focus on perfecting a single member of the chain, and then YOU come along and basically went "hold my beer" and refined each and every member of the chain like polishing a gilded blade after lovingly forging it as your magnum opus! I say this lovingly~ but screw you for what you did, to best-boy Rulie! This Fic was outstanding, it was worth every twisted and messed up dream I had for days afterwards and was fully worth the complete and utter AGONY that was drawing and shading an entire background! the scene where upon entering the hidden room with all the maps complete trashed? it messed me up inside in a way that just SCREAMED to be drawn! (not me self projecting my own traumas ahaha) so forgive me for how inaccurate it is to have the corrupted Wolfie in this scene! I couldn't resist the mental imagery! you pulled one of the absolute greatest writing stunts in digital history IMHO (you know which "chapter" I mean) and cemented yourself as one of my most recommended horror reads to basically everyone in and outside of the fandom! I consider your work to be some of the finest I've ever read and if I could? I'd get it as a signed leather-bound hardcover in my home! for now? several PDF's will have to do! can't wait to see how you continue the series! (I've been holding off reading more till this was done!) my apologies for how long it took to make this for you! ontop of a new fur technique and never drawing a wolf before, I also tackled a full detailed background for the very first time! (and it tripled the time spent working on it haha)
