♤ Yone loves kissing you, but the frequency with which he does it is not proportional to how much he loves it.
And that makes every moment of the kiss even more pleasant for him — Yone ends up being drawn in by the gratification of finally having the chance to kiss you in that moment.
♤ It is mainly because of his occupation with Heartsteel; he is far too responsible to postpone his tasks with the group and the recordings.
Do not be too hard on him if Yone does not give you more than a quick peck for several days in a row — he truly wants to linger and enjoy the moment, and he will make up for it as soon as he can; he only needs your patience and understanding.

First of all, i believe that Yone is too stubborn to let himself fall in love with someone, and I have a few reasons:
1. He didn't choose this path, all he wants is to take care of Yasuo/his family and protect Ionia.
2. He's afraid, nobody knows how things are going to end up if he'll change his "plans". Kinda "the fear of the unknown".
3. He has low self-esteem, he often doubts himself, he either thinks that he doesn't deserve to be loved, or he fears that he may not be able to live up to the other party's expectations, even though he receives much praise from his fellow disciples, his masters, and even from ordinary civilians who know about him.
4. He thinks that he's not able to love in that way.
5. He's afraid to end up leaving Yasuo, as I mentioned in this post, Yone values his family as his first priority. I think it'd be difficult for him to stay away from one person to stay with another one. He doesn't want to choose between family or love.
6. He's not used to it. He's not sure of opening up to someone "else" and showing his more vulnerable side. He's not always available emotionally.
7. And finally, he doesn't want to be a burden. This is another aspect of his low self-esteem.
So, let's say that it's a miracle that he loves you. Or, better said, that he DECIDED to let himself love someone..
• Let's say you're one of the disciples at the swordsmanship school.

• So.. I'm sure that it'll start with a friendship, it should. I don't think he's the type of guy who "falls in love from the first sight".
Let alone that he doesn't even care about looks/appearance.
• I also don't really think that he cares about personality. Yes, sure he'd be more comfortable around a quieter one, but there are things which are more important than that.
1. It mostly depends on how much time are you going to be together. How much experiences you'll have to go through together, difficult situations and their consequences and results, how things are going to work between you two.
I'm not sure how exactly to explain this, but I'll try..
He needs time to trust. He'd be more open with you over time, that's only if you'll accept his presence, like, when you two spend time together, no matter what you're doing, either on missions, or simple tasks at the school, or just sharing a moment of peace after a long day. If you'll show no interest in him, I doubt he'll try to spend more time with you.
It happens "unconsciously".
He just enjoys spending time with someone, it doesn't have to be romantic at all. He just enjoys this person's presence, chatting with them, discussing different topics, sharing stories, or doing some chores with them. And it makes him even more happy if the other party enjoys his presence too, and here starts a deep friendship, with trust and respect.
2. He cares more about how much you value your relationship with him. Again, not in a romantic way, and there doesn't have to be any hugs or physical contact. What he really appreciates, is that you try to keep your friendship safe, you're not planning to break the relationship for whatever the reason was, you'll keep supporting each other "forever". That's what he really values, more than personality or appearance, that you care.
• I'm sure he'll keep his emotions in check, and he won't let his feelings to change into something else. As I said earlier, he's not looking for love or romance.
And I'm sure it'll take years for him to finally fall in love with you.

If you already like him, you need to be patient. I think that he'll build up walls between you two IF you confess your feelings to him before he starts to feel the same for you, but he won't do that in a harsh or cold way, I'm pretty sure he'd explain himself and tell you that he's not sure and he doesn't want to hurt you. He'd feel guilty.
If that won't stop you from loving him, and you keep feeling the same if not more even after years, I think he'll start to feel something more for you, because of how you keep your feeling devoted to him, and because he cares about you.
• He'd think like "I'll keep loving her forever but I may never tell her about it. And keeping it to myself isn't bad at all. But I want her to know how i feel, but i still think that she needs a better person than me. I don't deserve her.."
• Not quite sure, but I think his love language is acts of service and words of affirmation, and the one he'd like to receive is quality time and words of affirmation.
• He WON'T confess his feelings immediately, and won't make them obvious too, not at first. He prefers to show that he cares, before saying anything, also he takes things slow. And I don't think he'll confess saying things like "I love u marry me pls".
It would be more like-
"I care about you, you're really important to me, and.. I.."
He may blush and turn away after these words.
Don't tell him that you love him too, like directly saying "I love you", he may hesitate and take a step back. You need to be patient with him. He wants to take things as slow as it's possible. Better just say that you care about him too. He'll relax. Don't even ask me about physical contact. He's really nervous and emotional in this situation, so u need to be VERY patient..
Of course he'll tell you "I love you", but only when you're two are alone, or when you're sharing an intimate moment, and only after he confesses. It doesn't have to be nsfw, guys.
• Oh and by the way! I don't think he has a high level of lust. Don't even try to convince me into otherwise. The moment I saw him I already knew he's not a fan of sex.

• As I said earlier, he'll show that he cares. Maybe not in front of others, he'll be even more caring when you two are alone, he'll become more intimate over time. NOT IN A "NSFW" WAY AGAIN.
He'll either use words, acts, or touches.

I think he'll show more sympathy and affection when he takes care of your wounds/injuries, and when you're in a bad mood and need someone to lean on.

I think he accepts teasing, but only the light and playful ones, he wouldn't appreciate it if they start to sound more insistent or if you're crossing the line.. probably he'll start to feel uncomfortable and nervous. If you're the type to like teasing, you have to be patient with him. He'll get used to you over time.
I don't see him as a fan of teasing though. He doesn't want his true feelings and thoughts sound playful, he prefers to sound sincere and honest when he compliments you.
He doesn't say "you're pretty", nope.
He gently wraps a strand of your hair behind you ear and tells you how much he feels happy being with you right now. His eyes will be admiring you instead of his words.
• Let's not forget about the legendary golden headcanon. He's good at poetry.
I'm sure he'll try to use some of those beautiful words with deep meanings when he compliments you or when you're having a conversation about you're feelings and all. But I don't think he'll do that often. I have a feeling that he doesn't want to sound stupid or silly.
• He doesn't give a sht about your body type. He finds you beautiful no matter how you look.
Again, he'll blush easily if he sees a bit more skin than you usually show. He'll turn away too, 1. Because he respects ur privacy. 2. Because he's too shy. 3. Because he hates to look like a weird pervert b*stard. Even though he doesn't look like one actually..
Despite all of that, he wouldn't blush even a tiny bit when he's treating your wounds and you have to show more skin. He's too focused on taking care of you. Of course his heart will beat a little faster, but only because he's feeling shy, but mostly he'll stay focused.
• He enjoys sparring/training with you, especially when you suddenly become a little weaker when your opponent is him.
• As @xhanelia mentioned in this post, Yone is not the "quick pecks" type. I totally agree with almost everything she says in that post.
His kisses are always long and deep, and he always needs to hold you close when you're making out. (I mean just kissing nothing more)
He wants to feel you close, not out of desires, but only because he wants to hold and to be held.
DO NOT TEASE HIM. The moment he realizes that you're messing with him, he will not hold back.

• He'd always ask for your permission, whether you asked him to do that or not. It's just his habit.
And I'm sure he's not the type to start everything with "hot kisses". Mostly he would just sit there and hold you or cuddle with you. It's not going to be too intense every time. If you want a kissing session he wouldn't think twice. Just let him know, and again, you need to be patient with him.
Just don't forget the fact that he's not used to this at all.
• And I also think that no matter how intense (in a good way) the kisses are, it won't end up with sex. As I mentioned earlier, his desires are not unbridled.
If ur lust is high, I'm sure he'll try his best for you, but then again, you may need to take care of your needs on your own most of the time.
• He adores hugging/cuddling with you.
Most of the free time you two spend together, you'll be laying on the bed in his arms. Well, at least this would be more often than anything else.
This man needs to be held and loved by someone.
• The hugs and kisses will probably start only a long time after his "confession".
Sure he wouldn't mind holding you for a second or two, and only if u really need it, but cuddles and kisses will not be included, not in the beginning of the "more serious relationship".
And, I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to make ur relationship/feelings obvious to others. Maybe he'd tell Yasuo, but I doubt that he'd tell anyone else.
First, because he doesn't want to risk losing you, especially that you two are warriors.
Second, he's a bit shy about the whole situation. No, he's not feeling uncomfortable. It's some kind of a "Why do people need to know who I love and care about? It's not their business.."
• As I mentioned earlier, he blushes easily. And you don't always have to make him turn into a tomato.
He'd blush quickly during "kissing sessions", or even when ur just hugging him. He'd either turn his face away, or hide in your shoulder.
He can blush because of his own words, like when he talks about his feelings.
• Eyes can show a lot. So, he gets nervous/shy easily if you keep looking into his eyes for a bit longer. Usually when ur having a moment.
• Likes playing with your hands, kissing them, and feeling them on his cheeks.
• He enjoys covering your face with the most precious kisses in the world.
• Bonus info: His neck and chest are his most sensitive areas. Don't torture him tho..
Well, he's always sensitive to your touches, he often flinches, but he'll get used to it over time.
• Loves teasing you btw. But his teases are soft. Mostly, he'd use his lips to tease you.
He likes it when you shiver slightly at his lips on your jaw. Let's not forget that his kisses are long and passionate. He knows you like it.
Sure he'd feel guilty if he makes you blush too much, because he knows how does it feel to be a shy person.
I think he'd apologize and hug you, letting you hide yourself for a moment to calm down.
• He feels blessed to have you.
He'll always tell you things like..
"You don't know how much I'm grateful for having you in my life.."
"You make me feel like I'm too lucky. I even start fearing that I may lose you one day.. never thought I can he so lucky.."
His heart will start beating faster if you tell him the same. He may get too emotional sometimes, a side that he barely shows to anyone but you or Yasuo.
Your words would break him easily in a good way, he'd feel like he's melting, and you can see that in his eyes. He immediately starts to think that he doesn't deserve you.
• When he's in a bad mood, he comes to you more often that Yasuo. Why? Well.. we all know that Yasuo was more ass before the incident, so Yone doesn't always feel like Yasuo is the best choice when he needs support.
Of course he'd share his problems with Yasuo too, but he'd calm down faster and easier when he talks to you. Yasuo isn't very good at giving useful advices.

💙Zed had summoned him — most likely another mission that only Kayn could be entrusted with. Aware of that, he moved calmly through the novices’ training grounds, already on his way to receive the next task he would execute with perfect precision.
❤️The thud of someone falling? That doesn’t catch his attention.
The sound of a few curses and muttered swears? That barely earns a reaction.
But then you forget to make sure you’re really alone and—
"Damn it! Kayn would’ve landed this strike twenty attempts ago!"
💙 Well, well. An admirer among the novices? That is enough to draw a smug smile to Kayn’s lips.
"No, no, no! The carnage, the blood! That’s what awaits us down the other corridor!"
But Kayn was already slipping into the shadows, ignoring Rhaast’s protests about wasting time on mortal foolishness, moving closer to the wing where you trained — lost among weapons of all kinds scattered across the floor, with a pitifully intact training dummy standing before you.
❤️ "This is humiliating. I’ll never be able to look him in the eyes like this…!"
You kept murmuring to yourself, frustrated. You lifted another sword, positioned it almost correctly, but the strike merely cut through the air beside the dummy.
Another poor blade was tossed away with a grunt.
💙"And honestly, (____), so many — so many — people to fall for… and it had to be Kayn?
The prettiest one" —
a crooked swing with a katana —

another missed strike, this time with a dagger —

the scythe nearly slipped and almost hit you —

the short blade sword struck the ground just shy of the dummy —

you finished in a thin, dejected voice.
❤️If Rhaast could roll his eyes, he would have.
"She forgot one: ‘the most delusional,’ too."
💙 Before Kayn could retort to the darkin in his mind, he heard you finish murmuring to yourself:
"Such a shame he has to keep proving himself to others, running around chasing some ‘stupid sword’ full of corrupting demons and—"
❤️Stepping out of the shadows immediately, Kayn snapped, indignant:
“What the—?! Whose approval do you think I’m chasing?”
"Stupid sword?!"
Rhaast complained, unheard by you and ignored by Kayn.
💙He kicked the hilt of one of the swords, sending it spinning through the air until it landed perfectly in his waiting palm, then drove it straight into the training dummy’s chest. As he approached, barely bending down, he picked up the dagger you’d thrown aside and buried it in the dummy as well.
The scythe, the katana, the shurikens… everything in his path was collected and hurled one by one, flying past your frozen form and striking the target behind you.
❤️ “All this skill doesn’t need validation from any of you.”
As he breathed heavily, closer than he should be — close enough for his warmth to reach you — Rhaast snarled inside his mind:
"You missed! You missed every single one aimed at her! Where the hell were you aiming that you couldn’t hit a single stationary human?!"
💙The moment of silence between you seemed to stretch endlessly, and Kayn’s imposing presence mere centimeters away became the center of gravity pulling all your attention to him: the rebellious strands of hair that escaped his long braid, the faint, old scars on his bare chest made visible by the light above you, the tension lines between his furrowed brows…
❤️ It took a small effort to remember to breathe and stop letting your gaze wander over him, finally meeting his eyes.
💙 No — when he stepped out of the shadows, Kayn didn’t realize that revealing himself had left you shaken, caught mid-monologue about him.
He didn’t notice your voice stumbling as you tried to come up with an excuse to erase your previous words.
Much less did he notice your face flushing when he invaded the boundaries of your personal space.
❤️And of course, in that situation, Kayn would never notice your heart completely out of rhythm at having the reason for your sighs over the past few months standing right there — arms crossed, staring coldly into your eyes. Even if it wasn’t the most romantic of encounters, all you could do was swallow hard, unsteady at the thought of just how handsome he looked, even while irritated.
💙After all of that, Kayn was ready to defend his pride — because yes, you may have missed every target during your training, but you struck one of Kayn’s deeply buried weaknesses with absolute precision.
💜The early afternoon breeze was far too pleasant for that time of year, especially thanks to the enormous nareen’yi tree whose canopy sheltered the small area of the temple courtyard where you had been assigned to help prepare the month’s provisions: the simple yet endless task of sorting the fruits — the large nunlyi nuts.
A shame that year’s harvest had been so scarce, since much of the crop bore the telltale signs of being unfit for consumption. And so, frustratingly, the pile of “discarded” nuts kept growing.
💜When the mound reached the height of your waist, you lifted your gaze to the nareen’yi that welcomed you beneath its cool shade.
"Don’t look at me like that; I kind of understand you, you know?"
💜Melancholy filled your eyes as they lingered on the nuts that would be thrown away. There was no use — not even animals would eat the ones that grew like that.
“I know… seeing something born of you have no fate other than being forgotten…”
The sigh that left your lips was heavy.
💜“Just like you, what could I do? It’s impossible not to fall in love with Shen… Always so watchful, never forcing anyone into anything… Don’t look at me like that, I know he’s the Eye of Twilight, but how could I not fall for him? Just the other day I noticed the exhaustion in his eyes alone, and even so, at the end of the day, there he was — patience itself with the new apprentice.”
💜You returned to the task of deciding the fate of the freshly harvested nuts.
“See? The fate of your fruits and of my feelings is the same…”
Another sigh. Another nunlyi discarded.
💜But in that very moment, Shen’s arm reached you from behind, passing close to the side of your face, cutting your breath short as he took from the pile the nut you had just placed there.
💜Confusion was quickly replaced by widened eyes and a racing heart when you heard Shen’s voice:
“Do not discard a seed that has not yet been planted.”
💜You turned to him, but could decipher nothing from the expression hidden behind his mask. Your own, however, you could guess — how long had Shen been standing there, listening?
💜Before you had time to respond, Shen knelt and nudged a shallow hollow into the earth, placing the chosen nunlyi within it and covering it with soil. When he stood again, your gazes met; though he remained an enigma, Shen could easily read you in the confusion etched into your brows and the flush on your face — even though the nareen’yi allowed not a single ray of sunlight to reach you.
💜Your words had fallen upon Shen’s ears the way the last leaves of autumn meet the ground, leaving emptiness behind them. In that moment, the Eye of Twilight did not know what to think of your accidental confession, and an entire season would need to pass before he could decide whether he would accept the spring you offered to his heart.
💜Shen was more than aware of his responsibilities within the Kinkou, and love was precisely one of the three emotions he was meant to rise above, never allowing himself to be entangled by it. Yet, as he looked at you in those moments, the faint smile that formed beneath his mask was inevitable.
“Nareen’yi nuts that cannot serve as food are meant to become seeds.”
Then, positioning his hands into a stance for channeling magic, the nunlyi he had taken from your discarded pile and planted began to emit a soft, ethereal glow, spreading through the soil like roots of light and energy. Yone kissing headcannons
I feel like Yone would want to feel every kiss. He is definitely not "little pecks" kind of a guy. You are his anchor to life and feelings so expect every kiss to be deep if not passionate.
He just loves how your lips slowly warms up his cold ones as the kiss deepens. Thats another reason why he prefers long kisses. Feeling your racing heartbeat and warm body makes him feel alive again.
And he would love to roam your body with his hands. He wants to feel you in every way possible. Normally, its hard for him to show affection through touch but kissing you is different.
I feel like Yone would be so emberrased if he gets caught. His brain shuts down the moment his lips meets yours so he wouldnt even notice that someone was watching. (not that this would ever happen but IF it does)
He would definitely chase your lips with his head when you break the kiss. Not that he expects more but he was so lost in the moment to realize you were trying to breathe.
Kissing is something intense for Yone. It shuts the world down for him. And it can easily go into something more intimate or immediately come to stop just with a little sign of yours. What you want is everything for him in that moment.

Yone headcannons
I like to think that even if Yone loved his half brother like his own, he couldnt erase the bad feeling inside of him that he had for Yasuo. Like he knew his little brother would be the death of him one day. It just appeared in his heart everytime he looked at him.
Even if Yone is mostly the same Yone we knew when he was alive, there are things that he left behind when he died. Most of those were his emotions. He rarely feels. And when he does, its like him trying to reach his mortal self but cannot quite catch it.
I really do not like to imagine Yone without his mask and i do not think that it can be taken off. The azakana is a part of him and if he gets seperated by force, his body in the mortal realm will no longer be in his reach.
To elaborate, i think the azakana he possess is a key for him to the mortal realm. Without it, he is just a normal soul that wonders in the spirit realm. The azakana blade and mask is his anchor to the world we live in.
When kindred came to take him to spirit realm, wolf wasnt the one to chase him. Yone accepted his death and got lead to death by lamb. He still sees them time to time. They are like ghosts that are angry at him for defying their rules. (Referenced from his voice line when he encounters Kindred in game)
After his death, he realized how much similar he is to his little brother. That was the biggest reason Yone forgave him when they met again in mortal realm. Yasuo may have killed his brother for a reason but Yone couldnt do it even if Yasuo was willing to give his head to him.
Sometimes he loses himself inside blood and death. His only anchors are kind souls that he sees time to time. They remind him of why he is doing what he is doing. The way he also had a family and a purpose. And that he is not just a dishonoured man with bloody blades.

When Yone sets his mind on marrying the reader
I feel like Yone would think about big things like this for a very long time. They are life changing desicions so he doesnt want to make a mistake. But there are times when he instantly sets his mind on things. Like marrying you.
I think it would be something pretty casual for you. You may not even notice Yone was watching you (He always does). But this time, it changed things inside him.
A kid might break or lose one of your most important and cherished items. Maybe something Yone himself gave it to you. They didnt mean it but now, its gone.
Rather than getting angry at the kid and making a fuss, you ruffle their head and tell them its not more important than their safety. You know they didnt meant to do anything bad to it. It was just an accident and they were sorry about it.
The little kid erased the tears with their tiny hands and hugged you very tightly. You hugged them back with a soft smile. All this happening infront of Yone made him realize how you can sacrifice your most delicate and important things like they are nothing for the good of your loved ones.
It was something... he would do too. If he had anything left to lose for others. He just couldnt turn his eyes away from the moment of you and the kid. And couldnt help himself but to imagine that kid as yours and his. It just... fit.
Not much longer, the kid noticed him and ran away while waving their hand at you. You gave a little wave back before noticing the tall and similar figure behind you.
But when you turn back, that stern face of his was nowhere to be seen. Yone was smiling. It was very soft but it was there. That man who nearly show no emotion was smiling all by himself.
That startle you, ofcourse. But it was more than welcome. When you ask what made him smile, he shrugged and told you that he set his mind on something that he has been thinking for a very long time. You may or may not have got the hint but the end of the story is always the same. He is going to marry you and going to be by your side forever.
