48 days of flower total for Miss"Twist-R-Us" Twistrus 💚 (Lemon Peezy x WTG Kush and Diesel) Seems fast, but she is done. The trichomes are milky delicious and just starting to turn amber. This is the lady we switched from the a.m. tent to the p.m. tent after 36 hours of darkness. She didn't even seem to notice! Thank you to @irie_genetics for your advice, and thank you to everyone else who responded also. I have been doing a little reading on https://www.ilovegrowingmarijuana.com/cannabis-light-cycle/ And to try and sum it up, The darkness is what signals your plant to flower. 12 hours of dark, and the plant will start to flower. The cannabis plant has light receptors called phytochrome red and phytochrome far red. Phytochrome Far-Red actively keeps your plants from flowering. Once there is a low enough amount of Phytochrome Far Red, your plant will start to flower. This decrease can only come from long periods of darkness without any interruption. By giving the plant 36 hours of darkness, the phytochrome far red is so low, it has no choice but to stay in flower.
