4 Reasons Why Twitter is Better than Facebook for Music
Is Facebook a good place for musicians and DJs to try to and promote themselves? Here is some perspective to think about. Facebook was never meant to be an advertising hotspot, nor was it mean to host music files and fan pages, but it does. This wasn’t the case until just a few years ago, when Facebook figured out it could make a lot of money by advertising everywhere on the page. In some ways, the original idea behind Facebook has died, in favor of a profitable marketing schemes and untrustworthy tactics. Still, it is hard to find a better platform to communicate with – it certainly isn’t Google+. Twitter is much different, but has its negative aspects as well. Twitter is more of a one way system that allows people who are important (or at least think they’re important) to communicate with the rest of the world. For musicians it might just be a better bet too. See, fans want information about their artists, but they want to skip the hassles of have their personal life rooted at the same time. The open access of Twitter is great in this aspect, when fans simply want to know a few things about their artist. http://diymusician.cdbaby.com/2013/02/4-reasons-why-twitter-is-better-than-facebook-for-music-marketing/
