to be blunt? the rpc needs more diversity with their faceclaims, period. i barely see anyone going out of their comfort zone to play latina, middle eastern, black, and south asian female faces. i’m tired of seeing millie hannah and sahar luna, i know you are too. so that's why i'm here to help.

you guys are making me miss real drama in rps :( nowadays people don’t even get into drama because everyone’s so sensitive and thinks their character is them, because all they tweet it “just had some pasta!” which that person really did in real life. it makes me want to SOMEHOW make a new rp type which is like “throwback rp” and runs the same way an old twitter rp would but it would be so reliant on the members acting a certain way that i don’t think it would work :( because everybody just wants to tweet about the pasta they just ate behind a cindy kimberly or fai khadra icon and nobody actually wants to rp
i know my experiences arent universal but i deadass dont get the whole there are no wlw in twit rps takes ive seen lately. i have played two wlw recently, one of them was cuffed for like months, and in the rps there were many wlws. maybe the problem is that u guys immediately see a female muse act a way and assume she’s not a wlw. or u see her sticker a guys icon and think oh shes a dick rider well guess what ur wrong and im tired.
I debated writing this for a really long time, partly because I feel as though my experiences with tea/addy/hiqey/sex honestly pale in comparison to the abuse she’s inflicted on others, but mostly because when I first addressed my grievances with addy, I was initially gaslit and made out to be a liar by her and her friends— a lot of people who actually happen to be writing PSAs and in the same vein had no problem being complicit in her behavior until she was exposed for the entire community to see.
Most of you have seen the screenshots from my conversations with addy about her behavior in impulsetv so I won’t really touch on that past the fact that I have to look within myself for essentially a coward, being afraid to defend my own friend to the best of my ability because addy had essentially snaked her way into my life before she decided I was expendable and due to this I was afraid she would use my personal information against me. my phone number, personal twitter and facebook etc. even thought I am an adult. that’s something I have to take accountability for— just like a lot of you have to take accountability for the fact you allowed this white woman to weaponize you to attack people like me and others who attempted to speak out about her before this. this isn’t a post to victim shame, but it is a post for people who people who have no other excuse for their behavior other than “addy manipulated me.” or “behind the scenes it was different.” I hate to name drop but winnie/winnivers/ @baileafs there were times I’ve WATCHED you actively attack people for addy without her having to lift so much as a finger. and deejay/rpslayed has her own separate history of abuse that needs to be addressed deeper. Like the receipts are all there, there’s no more distancing yourself from this quietly.
Essentially the generalized excuses of “i only bullied people because of addy” without taking into consideration that y’all STILL BULLIED PEOPLE, isn’t the apology you think it is. A lot of you who just recently dropped this girl really need to take a deep look at what you stand for as people in and out of this community and how this girl’s entire notoriety was built on the fact that a lot of you would have done anything to feel popular or notorious yourself for a crumb of attention— and she knew this about you. I won’t lie she was convincing, but as soon as her old behavior crept up I learned the hard way that you can’t stay silent, because it only allowed her to become more empowered. So to the people who are still working through how they played a part in addy’s behavior or even feel untouched by this issue, I hope this is a wake up call for you. The whole community had a lot to learn from this, so start doing the work now.
twitter rping has changed so much... : a short rant that you’re free to ignore.
i feel like certain people have made things just not fun. you used to be able to just jump right in with an intro tweet or even a cute lil bio. and maybe i’m joining the wrong rps or something but feel like now you’ve gotta pay more attention to fcs cause if you’re not popular you won’t get attention. if your character isn’t funny or hyper sexual or bitchy you won’t get attention. i miss regular twitter rp with actual space for character development, drama with substance i feel like it’s starting to become a popularity contest. . twitter rp isn’t twitter rp anymore it’s stan accounts interacting with each other on a tl and calling it rp. rps used to not have a social hierarchy and now they do. we used to shame rps for being cliquey and now it seems like every rp I join is “cliquey” for lack of better words. it kinda sucks bc that’s what i’m typically trying to get away from when i rp. that feeling of needing to fit in. it used to feel like we all just came to get away for fun and now it feels like people forget it’s rp and just have been playing themselves as their favorite fc. idk maybe i just have been gone too long. 😕
does anyone remember savannahs i think that’s what it was called? god it was probably the last good rp i was in. the horror admins really put their foots into it. even the last plot drop of them closing too was good.
oh are we talking about how twitter rps are marketed now? i’ve been waiting for this!! it’s funny how people set their graphics up and most of them are filled with black and brown people but when you look at the taken faceclaims list... it looks like a krp plus a few whites. so the question is are black/ brown faces only trends for you? do we only go with your SAD ass aesthetic?
