Elon Musk Gives a Nod to New Twitter Features Roll-out, Some Possibly the Next Week
Twitter Amidst the fresh layoffs and hacking data of Twitter users, Elon Musk has more on his plate. And this time it is good news. Twitter is to get some changes with new features. On Friday, the CEO of the social media platform said that image length crop and bookmark button are two of the inclusions along with others. There are further updates that will come in as per Elon’s remarks, which were found on the micro-blogging site. There has been no definite period announced for the changes. But for a few, we can expect to soon see these changes.
According to a post by Elon Musk, the next week may see applications of the new features such as fixing image length crop, bookmark button to move the tweet details page, and other minor bug fixes. He also ensured that bookmarks are going to be searchable. Earlier as a response to a Twitter user who asked for an option that permits them to upload an image without cropping it, Elon replied in affirmative, insisting that even he did not like the feature himself. The move is to push Twitter much better this year.
The changes will surface in the ‘recommended’ section as per a comment by Elon Musk. He also responded to a user that this week a new user interface will assist the members to switch between the ‘followed’ and ‘recommended’ segments. The hint for the new and updated features was already hinted at on Sunday, the last week.
The tech magnate also said that the UI will allow users to create folders and bookmark the tweets into different categories. Elon Musk had previously said that Twitter will go through a much larger user interface overhaul. And the social media platform was already going through significant backend server architecture changes.
