Hi guys! 

So I went on a rant on the norbury tag on Twitter earlier. I don’t think I’ve seen anyone raise this exact point on tumblr (correct me if I’m wrong) so I thought I’d share it here.

tl;dr: The problem with BBC Sherlock isn’t that Johnlock didn’t become canon, it’s that queer coding everyone, villains included, literally forced them to make Johnlock canon in order to balance the negative representation. Not doing that resulted in a situation where everybody is obviously gay, but only the villains act on it. This is incredibly harmful, as it promotes a vision of things where being gay isn’t the problem: acting on your gay feelings is what makes you a villain in this show.
